FYI, I'm informed that sales numbers are up about 5% over last year's.

Given that last year's numbers were down about 2% all in all there's not a lot to get excited about

I just read an article which discussed the recent Consumer Confidence numbers. The Consumer Confidence numbers were down yet the Media & Government keep telling us that Americans were out there shopping their asses off. All these people receiving Government Food Stamps and Unemployed yet they got out there and shopped till they dropped? Something is wrong with this picture. I just can't believe Government & Media stats anymore.
