The cohort of 10 lawmakers elected in November is up from seven in the previous Congress.

The lawmakers are all Democrats, with no openly LGBT+ Republicans in either the House or the Senate.

Seems about right. roughly 3% of the population is queer, so one would expect 3% of lawmakers to be queer.

The only real question I have is how could a queer in this day and age be a Democrat knowing that the Democratic party stands solidly with a religion that would like to throw them off the tallest building in town?
