It's funny how a democratic controlled Congress doesn't want to drill in the U.S., making us more dependent on foreign oil.......It goes both ways dude, whether you're a repub or a dem. When people are comfortable there is no reason to go through the more relatively "painful" process of change. For a society to willingly accept change, which is "painful" the cost of NOT changing has to be MORE "painful" than change does. I think we have finally reached the point where refusing to change is now more painful than changing....

And that's one of the fundamental axioms of the human experience.
