Its always amusing to hear cons talk of colleges as liberal education camps. I think Rush Limbaugh or somebody ordered them to believe that. Most people who make those statements never went to college.

I can't ever even remember more than one or two political statements a professor ever made in class. They get paid to teach engineering or statistics. They don't get paid to be Al Gore's whore.

Schools ARE re-education camps. Just ask the teachers unions. Of course, they wouldn't admit to it. Schools are the governments way of ensuring that future generations are good little citizens who aren't smart enough to cause any trouble. Bet most middle or high school students don't even know what socialism is.... much less capitalism. Government schools just teach kids to be sheep. Can you say 'bahahhaa'! Follow the leader........

In grade school one of my kids had a teacher who told them if they were uncomfortable in their chairs they could sit on the floor,if their feet were cramped..they could take off their shoes. And if they got too bored,she would take them for a walk.

Public school is worthless..

Honestly, when it comes to classes that involve supposed free thinking, the thinking is not very free. From interpretation of literature to the rewriting of history, students are taught a very one sided view of things as their professors see fit.

No, this does not show itself in the math and science classes. But it does is very visible in the history, political science, and literary classes. And for those who wish to teach in the vast majority of universities, you better not have a conservative viewpoint. If you do, it is almost guaranteed that you will never make tenure.

Having very liberal ideas and having professors who profess these ideas is not the issue or even the problem. The problem lies in the fact that students are not allowed the exposure to a counter viewpoint, therefore, it does become indoctrination.

I tried to sign one of my kids up for summer school,because I felt they were falling behind. I was informed that "middle school doesn't have summer school". What a crock..

You hit the nail on the head. I'm not certain whether or not the schools have become socialist cauldrons out of ideology or to fill the vacuum since there is no education going on.

Government School are 'Indoctrination Centers'... they're no re-education camps, because first they do not house the students and second they're indoctrinating them on the way UP... 're-education' is a function of Re-indoctrination... meaning they're having to do it over again.

But make no mistake about it, Public schools are leftist indoctrination centers.

Does it ever occur to conspiracy thinkers that after years pass and nothing happens that supports their conspiracy that maybe they simply need to take things in a more reasonable and logical manner and get away from backroom shenanigans?
