Rasmussen Poll - McCain Moves 1 Point Ahead Of B.O.

ok one add for a Republicans news letter big deal. The Add I saw was for the New Your Times, hardly a REPUBLICAN PAPER LOL.

The guy made it sound like the site is papered with Pro Republican Adds. He was trying to discredit what has long been considered a very good source of Polls, simply because he does not like what the poll is saying.

Gallup has Obama and McCain even yesterday. I suppose he would tell us Gallup is Republican funded as well. Fact is he will attempt to discredit any source which shows him something he does not like to see.

It could have been when he went there. You've no idea, I guess, how tailored ads can be to the individual viewer.

Sure sure that's it. I just sat and refreshed it several times. The Newt add stays the same. the other 2 change, and were repeatedly for things like Ruby Tuesdays, and medications.

Did you watch the quotes at the top, of people on both sides of the Isle praising Rasmussen as one of the Best polling sources around?

Just last week, and for weeks before that Rasmussen had Obama up by 4 or more. Were they being unfair then? I stand by what I said. The dude just does not like what he sees, so he writes off the site as Biased.

The Fact is all 10 major polls on RCP have Obama losing ground. Their average now has Obama up by 2.3 points, which considering the margin of error is a dead heat. Just 1 week ago RCP's average had him up by 5 points.

Every poll RCP tracks except CNN shows Obama losing major ground. His 9 point lead is almost gone. He can deny it all he wants, but the facts are the facts. Obama is in trouble.

Obama will lead after the debates start. McCain has gotten more favorable media than any candidate I can remember. He's a pure idealist with delusions as to his policies. Obama will easily expose this, among other things.

how anyone can say that anyone EVER has had more media exposre than O'Bama I don't know
if O'bama has any particular problem right now apart from being as vaugue as possible on every issue , it's that he's overexposed.
weather he peaked too soon has yet to be seen
debates, and Conventions will probably be where everyone begins to pay most attention -most undecided and independant voters will be on board with someone by then
Poles
right now are simply tracking tendencies
it's going to be close
like almost equally devided
Places like Forida,Michigan,Ohio Pennsylvania perhaps Mnnesota are going to be the keys
the Chicago's New Yorks and LA's are going to go O'Bama
and the majority of the middle of the country(besides Wisconsin)
will go to McCain
the other main issue is that Liberals are much more exceited about O'Bama than Conservatives are about McCain
McCain need a strong convention showing and bump to pull this off
O'bama needs to shut up as much as possible and allow people to continue to project their own hopes and ideals onto him.
he only needs to seem smart and nice in the debates
McCain will need to Blind him with facts and figures
to have a good showing

McCain is 8 years too late. He should have been elected in 2000 instead of the boob that we have but he was "Roved" into a pile of crap.

Obama was on NPR last week either disputing or ignoring free economic theory when asked if his windfall taxes on oil companies would hurt exploration. He said "Classic economic theory says you don't meddle in the markets. Look, I mean, most economists buy into that approach. But Exxon Mobil made $12 billion last quarter — and families need some relief. In the short term, the notion that oil companies that have been making record profits, hand over fist, can't give a little bit of that back. I don't think that's too much to ask. "

Our oil companies are not replenishing their reserves fast enough, they are diminshing in value as time goes on. Does Obama realize how much it costs to find and aquire new reserves? It may 'feel good' to hand out that money to others, but it will be harmful in the long run. No wonder most leftists are drug addicts if this is their philosophy.

Good post. I never said Obama hasn't had massive amounts of exposure. Re-read my post if need be. McCain has gotten more passes from the media than any candidate in a long time. Obama gets more exposure from conservative and liberal media. He is the topic of almost everything political, and has taken more smear attacks already than Kerry saw all season in 04.

You might want to elaborate on what were "smear" attacks and what were not.

Obama is a "socialist/racist/muslim/elitist/" articles, comments, and inuendos by both sides.

Could you take each of those: "socialist", "rascist", "Muslim", "elistist", and explain to us all how these are bogus or incorrect statements/smears about him?

It's one thing to throw out this blanket statements you've heard/read about him from his alleged detractors. Could you please support your argument for each point of "title" as to it's being in error?
*******
I.E., do you believe he has been taken out of context and given this alleged bogus titles, or what. If taken out of context, what did B. Obama really mean to convey that caused some to title him, socialist, rascist, Muslim, elitist?

Please try to be specific so we or I can analyze clearly what you've presented and can research it out and see if we agree with your rebuttal.
********
One last question? Do believe that guilt by association is sometimes a correct assessment?

he also needs to show that obama has had more of these attacks than kerry did. of course kerry would have had different 'titles' used, which makes it a little harder to compare, but i would like to see it

I could, but I won't. I don't have the time or desire to do so. You know how to use the search feature on this forum. Each and every smear has been refuted and disproven, yet they get repeated almost daily by the extremists.

Never. Someone is never guilty by who they know or who knows them. If that were true we could all be labelled terrible people, which would be unjust. I judge a candidate by what he does, not what is done to him.

I think over the years McCain has really got a break from the press
however when put up against somebody who reflects the dreams of liberals the way O"bama does
McCain has no longer any kind of pass from the press
I think your right
O'bama is the focus of ALL media
and as they say no press is bad press
I'm surprised O'Bama isn't up by 20 points
the exchanges between the 2 camps are almost hourly now
although rather unsubstantial

I don't think O'Bama is Racist or muslim
however
clearly he's elitist
as those "bitter" comments bore out
he does present Ideas that are in some ways similar to European (specificly French) socialism
I don't think that's arguable
I also think that's what many on the left admire about him
he presents himself as having all the answers
he argues that the source of our woes are the responsibility of government(and republicans)
while at the same time arguing that the Government can fix all the problems we face if in the hands of
exceptional individuals like himself
that's the biggest joke of the entire O'bama campaign.
the fact that many -if not a majority of people buy this crap
is really very sad.
