Last time I posted one of these stories someone argued that not reporting the rape the same day made the rape suspect. I am wondering if they feel the same way about this one.

The Pleasanton Police Department and allied agencies are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects in two sexual assaults that occurred earlier this month. The incidents seem to be unrelated, though both occurred during the wee hours of the morning.

The most recently reported cased involved the impersonation of a police officer on Aug. 5 at around 3 a.m. According to police, a woman was driving on Valley Avenue at Bernal Avenue when she heard what sounded like the chirp of a police siren. After seeing a flash of light coming from the vehicle behind her, the driver believed she was being stopped by a law enforcement officer and pulled over in a secluded area to the side of the road.

The male suspect approached the driver's side door and showed the victim a star shaped badge in his hand, then ordered the victim out of her vehicle and handcuffed her. She was then placed in the back seat of the suspect's vehicle and driven to an unknown secluded road where she was sexually assaulted by the suspect in his vehicle. The suspect left the victim at the scene of the crime and drove away in his vehicle.

The victim walked back to her vehicle and drove home. She did not sustain any life threatening injuries and did not report the incident to police until Aug. 28. It is not known why the incident wasn't reported earlier.

I think you should link the last one. Comparing someone who reported being raped by a prostitute 4 months after the incident is not the same as someone who believes they were raped by a police office waiting less than a month.

Is that because one is a man and the other is a woman?

An obvious case of rape if there ever was one.

I know you really really want that to be the case.

And if she becomes pregnant, QW wants the state to force her - at point of a gun if necessary - to bear her rapists child.

Many women who have been raped do not behave sanely. They do things against their own interest. The first thing they want to do is deny it ever happened. They may not call the police. They may not go to a hospital, especially if they haven't been injured. They might go home and take a shower to wash it all away.

Each thing they do makes the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the rapist that less possible.

After ignoring their own rape for several days, they file and complaint and wonder why everyone else ignores them too.

And if after 8 1/2 months, if she decides she wants an abortion and it gets botched, ooh poopy pants is ok with killing the baby by any means necessary....

But according to Todd Akin, she won't get pregnant. The women's body will simply "shut the whole thing down"

Point?

No one is ever going to prosecuted for the rape of this woman. The only possible good she can do is make it public that there is a rapist going around impersonating a police officer to raise awareness of his actions in the hope that he will be caught raping another woman.

Most rapes go unprosecuted, nothing new there. If he rapes again, which it sounds like he might, they may tack on her case and testimony to the others.
