Is Rand Paul or Sarah Palin the leader of the conservative Tea Party? Does anyone think that helps their political careers?

Welcome to USMB herculean.

What VaYank means is that any Tea Party threads should be started on the Tea Party board, not here in Politics.

Neither is the leader of the Tea Party movement.

Sarah doesn't have a political career at the moment. Rand Paul was a tea party favorite and so far he's doing pretty well. So my guess is it would help any politician to have the tea parties endorsement.

We will see if the Tea Party costs the GOP in Novemeber. My guess is they will.

Chris Matthews on "The Rise of the New Right", starts tomorrow on MSNBC. Hopefully it reaches the majority of American citizens and paints a clear picture of the danger of radicalism in this first decade of the twenty-first century.
Oviously, those who consider the MSM evil, dishonest and a cabal focused on taking their liberty won't watch, and will begin to demean the program even before it is broadcast.

Dogmatic views are dangerous. History bares it out. The very premise of the Tea Party is the absolute insistance on their views. Perhaps the danger will not be seen early on in this movement. But if it does make major moves in the political world, the voters will soon see their influence as they insist on the passage of their policies.

These are the people who were wearing sidearms to political rallies. As we saw in Iran, intimidation does work when violence is imminent.

You do realize that will happen?

This is a very tough question as the tea party whiners and crybabies' appeal is only to other whiners and criers. Neither Sarah or Rand cry as much as the tea party, so unless they have a 'big-cry-in' it is hard to say. It could be this plan Glenn Beck is devising will be the ultimate whining and crying plan. Glenn is an excellent crybaby.

See number 8. The pied piper of nonsense.

Only those not able to debate, willfully ignorant or just stupid respond with emoticons, silly pictures and one line idiotgrams. If you can't put together a cogent comment please ignore me. Co-mingle with Stephanie or CrusaderFrank or others of your and their kind.

For those interested in current politics the Matthews show this evening should be a good starting point for debate. Might be a good time to read some history, I'd suggest looking at the post WW I era as a good starting point in any debate on right wing movements. "Those who do not read history ..." and are doomed to be ignored as willfully ignorant or worse.
