They serve many purposes. making sauces with raisins as one ingredient works much like cranberries and other fruits. Sauces and gravies are my specialty
First thing that came to mind:
oatmeal cookies....cinammon bread....things like that
i am trying to grow grapes to make raisins....i made some last year when i found grapes on sale...i like the golden raisins best

Here are some of the ingredients in A1 steak sauce
Tomato Puree (Tomato Paste) distilled vinegar, Corn Syrup, Salt, Raisin Paste, Crushed Orange Puree, Spices and Herbs, Dried Garlic and Onion
