Gun permits went up to over a million I believe.

And the murder rate in Chicago is half of what it was 20 years ago.

The murder rate has increased since Obama and Rahm took over.

It's significantly less now compared to when W was in office. Though the most dangerous states with the highest murder rates are all bright red.

Obama hasn't taken over anything.

It has indeed gone up since Rahm took over but he hasn't enacted any new anti-gun laws. He has however neglected the police force. The union estimates they are around 2,000 officers short. There are 600 officers retiring yearly and they haven't been getting replaced.
