A wildfire raged out of control along the northern edge of Los Angeles Friday, prompting authorities to order tens of thousands of people from their homes as firefighters battled flames from the air and on the ground. Police Chief Michel Moore said about 100,000 people in over 20,000 homes were ordered to evacuate.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said Friday afternoon the Saddleridge Fire had grown to more than 7,500 acres and was 13% contained. At least 25 homes had been damaged, Fire Chief Ralph Terrazas said. A middle-aged man who was near the fire went into cardiac arrest and died, the chief said, but he did not have details.

California looks like a scene from a Terminator movie .

They have a lot of homeless people in California this year, and they're letting them fend for themselves. If they're trying to start campfires with cigarette lighter fluid, that could boomerang on them.

Did PG&E have the power shut off? Would it have made any difference?

Los Angeles is no longer California it's 'Little Mexico' and has been for decades now.

Apparently, the power had been shut off in order to avoid the very thing that happened. Scwewy.

Yup, that's what happens when you mismanage the flora. The sagebrush actually requires wildfires as part of its lifecycles.

But because of mismanagement, instead of simple brush fires that clear out the dead fuel, these fires erupt into these monsters

Which is exactly what the arsonists of the blm and usfs want and plan for.

The state and the agencies get unlimited funding as long as there are catastrophic fires.

I think they should helicopter in the homeless to fight the fires. What else do they have to do? Fkn losers.

Just nature trying to rid itself of its overpopulated liberal parasites.
Just part of Mother Earths cleansing process.

We should not interfere.

Why have grape vineyards and Redwood forests when you can have the
Sahara desert right ?
There is not a single feature on Earth manmade or natural that is permanent and infinite.
Plenty of other vineyards and the Redwoods and the state are doomed as the California tectonic plate moves north to Alaska. Sadly, nature is too slow to see it happen live.

just get off the States land and then the State will start fixing the Forest up for the Wildlife widdle buddies .

That any Californian is trusted with even a single match means the state will always burn. At this very moment a UC-Davis experimental farm is rushing to market trees that will self-ignite even in blinding rain or 6-foot deep snow.
