You DO realize all of these programs as of late won't affect the politicians? Just "we the people". They still get their pay and perks. Free laundry. Free trips home. Free rental vehicles. Free apartments in DC.

All at OUR expense.

I think I started a thread about this about a month ago (or maybe it was just a comment)--that 3/4ths of their time (especially in the House) is spent "doing business with" lobbyists who drop campaign $$ in the bucket and only a quarter of their time actually "doing the business of the people."

Without the investment there was no GM. It should be supported by conservatives that teh amount of money used to bailout a company demands a say in the boardroom.

It's not a takeover in the classic sense that right wing lunatics are portraying it. The government did NOT nationalize the auto industry. The government saved asses and is NOT running GM.
