"Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
Second Amendment

"militia" seems like a key term in this discussion, along with historical context. At least that is the argument being made by...

"Dr. Gerald Horne, ...John J. and Rebecca Moores Chair of History and African American Studies,... has addressed issues of racism in a variety of relations involving labor, politics, civil rights, international relations and war... Dr. Horne received his Ph.D. in history from Columbia University and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and his B.A. from Princeton University."

The Racist History of the 2nd Amendment and Why it Matters Today

In this ^^^ TRNN interview, Dr Horn alleges the term "militia' referred to slave patrols necessary to suppress enslaved Africans and not as a defense against European tyranny.

"Once again, it's folly to try to interpret the Second Amendment absent the historical context. That is to say, as you correctly note, when the Black Panther Party went into the California state legislative chambers in 1967, it caused outrage and consternation in certain circles, and even the National Rifle Association, which is now a purist with regard to the Second Amendment, not tolerating any restrictions on gun ownership, at that particular moment it was coming out in favor of gun control because it was terrified by the possibility of black people arming."

Here's How The Nation Responded When A Black Militia Group Occupied A Government Building
Horn is also claiming elements of the right wing in the US have not ruled out a mass armed uprising against a particular government they don't approve of.

"""SORRY""" But nice try, Dr. Horn, you blacks do stick together!!!

And along came the 14th which insured the rights of all Free Men to bear arms.

Even today the 14th and the 2nd has been solidly upheld by the Supreme Court in McDonald vs Chicago.

Otis McDonald is an old black man who won this case. The left wing sons of bitches in Chicago tried to prevent him from the ability to protect himself under the 2nd.

It's liberal bastards who don't want law abiding people of any color of any race /of any ethnic background/ of any sexual persuasion to not have the right under the 2nd to bear arms.

And the 14 th keeps kicking ass to back up the 2nd.

ETA: A great American Hero Otis McDonald! Bless your soul sir!

Slave patrols called patrollers, patterrollers, pattyrollers or paddy rollers, by the slaves, were organized groups of white men who monitored and enforced discipline upon black slaves in the antebellumU.S. southern states. The slave patrols' function was to police slaves, especially runaways and defiant slaves. They also formed river patrols to prevent escape by boat. Slave patrols were first established in South Carolina in 1704, and the idea spread throughout the colonies."
Think of the paddy rollers as the first gun pussies.

Too many big words?

"Well, first of all you have to recognize that like most provisos of the U.S. Constitution, formulated in the late 18th century, there was both a class and race bias to these provisions, which is one of the reasons why it's so difficult for people of color today to receive Constitutional protection.

"What I mean is, is that the Second Amendment certainly did not apply to enslaved Africans.

"All measures were taken to keep arms out of their hands.

"The Second Amendment did not apply to indigenous people, because the European settlers were at war with the indigenous people to take their land. And providing arms to them was considered to be somewhat akin to a capital offense.

"So the Second Amendment was mostly applicable to the settler class.

"Keep in mind that even after the U.S. Civil War, when the enslaved Africans are freed, a good deal of the battles of the bloody reconstruction period, circa 1865 going forward, was about keeping arms out of the hands of black people.

"And indeed, one of the central reasons why the terroristic Ku Klux Klan was organized in the post-Civil War era was precisely to disarm black people.

"So in order to understand the Second Amendment, you have to understand that its interpretation has been heavily dependent upon the current political scenario as it might have existed at a particular moment in time."

Yeah, no. The term militia refers to every able bodied man between the ages of 18 and 60. Your desperation to destroy the 2nd is truly funny. Face it, the Founders knew what sort of ignorant scumbags, such as yourself, they were dealing with and wrote the Amendment as simply as possible. And amazingly enough I can't find any reference to slave patrols at the time of the Revolution. Care to provide some of those for us please?

Take a look at Chicago and many other cities. How many blacks are shooting at people? and how many whites? Per capita the blacks are clearly too stupid to have guns. Ya..Blah. blah...blah.. HUGGY is a racist.. You know what? These dumb fucks are making it too easy for the government to say we should be disarmed.
I wonder how many of these black shootists come by their weapons legally? Piss on Hillary. I wonder? How is restricting legal gun sales going to affect the number of blacks that shoot people?

These dumb fucks are making it too easy for the government to say we should be disarmed.
Are you suggesting the government could forcibly collect 350 million guns from 65 million sites? If it's true US crime rates have largely declined over the last 25 years, why do you think anyone is coming for your guns?
