Racial disparities in sentencing grew since 2005, US study says

The study by the U.S. Sentencing Commission reignited a long-running debate about whether federal judges need to be held to mandatory guidelines in order to stamp out what might appear to be inherent biases and dramatically disparate sentences.


Funny.
I thought racial bias was not natural. That bias toward your own race was just hate driven and had nothing to do with instinct. Also, these sentences are doled out with considerations taken so it could be these judges are finding maybe less remorse amongst blacks or whatever.
