I had an appointment at the VA today. The employees there are heartbroken by this and cite congressional cutbacks, bureaucratic hiring policies, political appointments of non-medical, and often non-business administrators, lack of facilities, and the huge influx of returning troops from two unnecessary wars.

CNN has been covering the more than 40 vets who died while waiting, the director has finally been suspended in the Phoenix office. BTW she was in the WA office where she was accused of wrong doing, then moved to Phoenix by the VA to cover up her wrong doing. Additionally, it has also been uncovered they are doing the same in many other VA facilities.

If Brewer supposedly appointed her, which is not true, why in the hell was she still employed by the US Department of Affairs and given gleaming reviews with scandal after scandal? Why didn't Shinseki fire her ass?

Brewer appoints the Director of Arizona Department of Veterans Affairs, Governor Jan Brewer appointed Ted Vogt to that position. Brewer does not appoint individual hospital directors such as the Phoenix VA Health Care System, Helman was suspended from.

Why do you think there are demands by Eric Shinseki for her resignation and then also demands by the public, senators and VA officials for Eric Shinseki to resign? Its because he allowed her to stay, scandal after scandal and moved her to each VA Heath Care System.
