Far as I know, you're not allowed to edit the content....Editing endlessly nested quotes is actually a benefit for clarity.

That's another thing the number of nested quotes allowed is ridiculous it should be pared down to no more than 3

and people edit the content of quotes all the time here

I'll edit out superfluous stuff all the time in order to stick to the point...I don't consider that editing the content.
