Question

Well, a Universal Health Care System based on an income tax is completely Constitutional. And that is what we need. I think that paying twice as much for an inferior product, and that is what we are doing when we compare what we have to other industrial nations health care systems, is damned stupid. But the 'Conservatives' seem stuck on stupid, in any case.

As pointed out to you and your ilk SO many times... no... it is not.. whether the government has gone beyond constitutionally granted powers is one thing... but there is no goddamn power granted within the easily understandable writing of the constitution that authorizes our government to implement something like universal health care

Damn.. you are indeed one of the dense ones

Stuck on stupid??

You honestly think paying a tax to provide health insurance is going to make it affordable or more effective if the Federal government is overseeing it??

Sometimes what you type comes back to haunt you. ;)

Why does the right NEVER take responsibility for what their actions cause?

MAYBE BECAUSE THIS IS THE WORST THIS COUNTRY HAS EVER BEEN IN, AND THE DEMOCRATS PUT US IN THIS SITUATION, NOT THE REPUBLICANS. REMEMBER THE HOUSE AND SENATE WERE HELD BY YOU DEMOCRATS IN 2007 WHEN WE START A DOWN HILL SITUATION. I AM AN INDEPENDENT, AND I DON'T REALLY LIKE ANY OF THE CANDIDATES BUT I SURE AM NOT DUMB ENOUGH TO PUT A FAILURE BACK IN OFFICE. AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT MORE OF WHATS HAPPENED IN THE LAST 4 YRS OF OBAMA. PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP, AND STOP BEING SO PARTY INCLINED AND START THINKING ABOUT YOURSELVES FOR A CHANGE INSTEAD OF YOUR PARTY OR POLITICIANS. WE NEED A MASSIVE CHANGE IN WASHINGTON. PEOPLE SHOULD UNIT AND VOTE ALL THIS BUNCH OUT FOR ALL OUR SAKES AND OUR KIDS SAKES.

Yes, the sky in your world is clearly falling. Get an umbrella.

But here is the thing.

Why don't you commie-types who want this just start your own group?

Nobody is stopping you. Just band together and give one another the free healthcare you think you deserve.

oh wait

You want someone else to pay for it, don't you?

It is the system all countrys who have better healthcare than wwe do at a far cheaper rate.

Why do you refuse what works to cling to what is so very broken?

what is the American peoples choice?

Put Obama back in or put the very party whos historically failed ideas caused this HUGE economic mess.

It was Dems who started the Housing and Community Development Act of 1977. Under President Carter's Administration.
While it was all well and good intentions for the poor the have their own homes, it helped and contributed to escalate the housing bubble.
It was the Dems historically failed idea TM, under Carter and Clinton.
Bill Clinton's drive to increase homeownership went way too far - BusinessWeek

Bush was to blame also by continuing the practices.
It was 3 Dems who did not allow Regulations for Fanny and Freddie Mac to get out of the Financial Service Committee.

I agree with bush's comment. And if you recall, he also warned congress and senate 17 times about fannie mae and freddie mac, and congress and senate was held by the democrats, who ignored it. I agree 100% with what bush says in this speech.

Obama did not cause this mess YOUR PARTY DID
EVERY sane person knows that

No TM, both parties caused it by spending taxpayer money like drunken sailors. Remember your guy campaigned on "fixing" this mess. Instead of focusing on jobs and the economy he and his congress passed a law that we cannot afford, especially in a recession.

Just as I suspected the truth doesn't really matter to you, all you can do is call someone that has a opposing opinion "insane".

Your party is as guilty as the other, true story!!

TDM only wants to blame Bush and the Reps.

She conveniently forgets that her Dems are equally to blame. God forbid that her golden party gets any blame for the condition of this country. They are pure as the driven snow in her biased mind. They are the ones who will "fix" everything. Apparantly Barry didn't get her fucking memo.

One has to wonder how the idiot that she is can even believe her own drivel.

She, like Pelosi, is a flamming idiot.

Both parties are responsible

Why don't you ask the Greeks, the Spanish, the Portuguese and the Irish how that Nanny country is working our for em??

In fact you can ask all of Europe with the exception of Germany how its workin for em.

dear idiots, universal healthcare is not free.

Its paid by everyone.

Start your own group of 100 million strong.

Nobody is stopping you. Just do it.

oh wait

Only the freeloaders like yourself would join and there would be nobody to pay for it.

The idiot thinks it is paid for by everyone.. and not paid for by the ~51% of the populace that pays federal income tax, while the other ~49% pays zero or at a reduced rate because the earners pay more... the old adage of TDM and her ilk of unequal treatment by government under law, WHEN IT BENEFITS THEM OR THEIR CAUSE

I should have added medicare to that and social security, both of which are overbudget and scheduled to go bankrupt in the near future............thanks for the tip Dragon!

Clearly our right wing friends don't understand that they're already paying for other people's health care. They pay for it every time they make their personal premium payments, every time they pay for care, every time they pay for a prescription. The "free" health care given to those who can't afford or can't qualify for plans is coming from this money and tax money. This really shouldn't be so difficult to understand.

And I haven't yet received any thoughtful, reasonable, civil, mature responses to my questions about my "freedom", so I guess I'll try again, from an earlier post:

What about my "freedom" to not to have to wait in the ER with my daughter behind people who flood the place because they have/can afford/can qualify for no other coverage? What about my "freedom" to not have to pay extra to businesses for products & services that cost more because that company is stuck with paying for their employees' health care? What about my "freedom" to start a business with some kind of health insurance if I have a pre-existing condition? What about my "freedom" to not pay MUCH higher medical costs in general to COVER the services provided those who can't get coverage?

I wonder how many people who shout about their "freedoms" like trained seals have actually spent a few precious moments to actually think this through. I'm not a fan of Obamacare for the most part either, but this two-dimensional thinking and sloganeering is getting old.

I know y'all won't agree with this, but your freedoms do not trump mine. Shocker, huh?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

seawytch. It is mind boggling how you and others like you can't see the picture for what it is. I don't know what causes this, other then maybe you a4re so glued or obligated to the democrats, it has clouded your thinking. What Bush said in the video is very very true. The economy started going down hill long time ago, then came along the Democrats that held both house and senate and the economy spiraled down hill bigtime. Yes, the democrats made matters worse and they continue too. Socialism does not work. It is time for a massive change in washington or you and all of us will reap the consequences. fact

Clearly you do not understand the the federal government has no authority to mandate a private citizen buys a product from a private company by virtue of being an American citizen.
