Department of Education - Billions and billions of dollars and all we got was more bureaucrats and dumber kids, then Bush doubled down on it with NCLB.

Good point,the DOE is not teaching children any reading,writing,or math,or to be independant to develop practical skills for themselves,only agenda. I saw this action on the weather channel,owned by NBC,that they supported the GREEN SOCIALIST AGENDA that the DOE is madating all public schools tobuse,and global warming,created by man,is a farce,if anyone knows about astronomy,and that the suns a growing star,and its growth and electromagnetic energy is proof that its the cause of global warming,its a scam and a socialist farce to destroy industry. True we can make our living conditions cruddy without common sense,but hunans arent creating global warming. I am also an amateur meteorologist,and i can scientifically prove it false humans are involved. Jeff abrams was pissed utah rejected the green agenda,needless to say,dont watch it anymore.what a brainwash for sheeple.

None of the entities suggested thus far actually are federal agencies (List of United States federal agencies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). IN particular, SETI, while it has received some public funds, doesn't appear to be an agency, much less a federal one (Search for extraterrestrial intelligence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

Of extant agencies, the TSA and the IRS must be some of the most unpopular, but I'm not sure either is actually that bad. I would tentatively suggest ICE, which has allegedly committed quite a few human rights abuses.

4. Nuclear Waste Policy Act-nice one to have
5. OSHA-thank God!
6. Atomic Energy Act-appreciate that one, too.

I understand the frustration with the endangered species act. And as badly as I hate to admit it; if drilling at ANWAR ends up being the gold mine that it supposedly is, and will keep us out of the Middle East....DRILL IT! And perhaps put some plan into place to restore the habitat, if the species survive. As badly as most of us would hate to see their habitat destroyed, one has to pick their battle wisely. And if we can't come up with an alternative energy source.....well, we sometimes have to do things that we really don't want to do. It might be a necessary evil.

But I disagree that the EPA is a bad program. When a body of water catches fire...we have some SERIOUS problems.

Are you advocating perhaps privatizing EPA? Do you think that the ethics could be kept in line?

I would have to go with the department of homeland security and all the crap that comes with it. We did not need a new federal agency to do what we already have a ton of others taking care of. They just needed a better way to communicate.
