Of course not, He already stated he was all for the version that fined anyone that refused health care coverage, and we have had numerous Liberals explain that they do not care one whit that he lied about everything while running for President, claiming since everyone does it anyway, they already knew.

I dunno. I guess it depends on why you're here. If you're only aspiring to be taken as seriously as say someone like Ravi then I guess you're doing great. If you actually want to be taken seriously then I'd say it's time to step up your game.

But whatever, I can stop reading your posts if this is how you intend to roll. Not a problem.

Most people would prob support health care reform that eliminates the public option. My fear is that the bill would be so diluted as to be virtually ineffective Then we will be re-visiting this issue in two years. The socialists will be able to say "told ya so". I hope I'm wrong but I don't trust any of these crooks.

Compromise is how things work. I voted for Obama, but I always knew his plan for health care reform was overly optimistic. If it were so easy the POTUS could just wave a magic wand and make his wishes appear, it would have been done by now. Whether I support what actually makes it through Congress (if anything does) depends on the details. I'm interested in the idea of co-ops floating around the Senate, but nothing is on paper yet to judge its workability.

By public option do you mean people's right to choose a private HC insurer?

FWIW, this so-called liberal isn't too thrilled with the Obama plan, overall.

Perhaps I don't understand it entirely. But I think, whatever the details, Obama is missing the point entirely.

How we fund HC is the smallest part of the problem oveerall, in my opinion.

What is the problem is that the costs and the continuing escalation of prices (relative to everything else) is making HC too expensive for this nation overall to afford.

Now that is the real problem and I see no plan coming from Obama OR anyone else addressing that issue.

You are correct. You don't understand what PUBLIC OPTION means.
Public option means TAX PAYER FUNDED HEALTHCARE those who choose IT over private insurance....meaning any lazy ass crack dealing welfare recipient who continues to sit at home, welch off the government will now get free healthcare. It also means illegal aliens will now get free healthcare when they fraudulently present stolen ID's to the government workers who will sign them up. It also means all those people who OPTED out of healthcare offered by their employer will get the opportunity to get a reduced rate healthcare plan from the government.

Well, a better option would be a single payer system, and the health care companies can just go to hell. They are the problem. Why should we be paying twice as much as anyone else and getting much less for our money.

As for lazy ass crack dealing welfare recipients, I have no interest in your personal problems, Patek.

You are correct.

I usually am.

You don't understand what PUBLIC OPTION means.

Yes, so I'd noticed. Hence my confession of same.

Public option means TAX PAYER FUNDED HEALTHCARE those who choose IT over private insurance....

Oh, okay.

God bless America!

That sounds bad.

Does it?

So tht means that your primary concern is that the Gov sponsored HC will be a superior buy that decriminating consumers will choose to purchase over the private HC insurance they can get at work?

This is a bad thing, why exactly?

Since he did use some "breath" then I guess we're down to evaluating whether or not the effort was wasted. It seems from your comment being serious and thoughtful would be a waste while making a joke that does nothing to further the discourse is good.

Thank you for commenting, it's helping me understand the value systems of liberals.

Will right wing pea brains continue to root against their own self interest and do a Monica Lewinsky on the corporate elite?

Your choice of course Amanda. It just struck me as being humorous that an arch-reactionary was the first to post in a thread addressed to "liberals".

Your comment and sig seem to be in disagreement.

Are conservative rooting against their own self interest or are they being selfish? I don't see how it can be both ways.
