Question for Government Run Healthcare Supporters...

How many of you take your extra money in your check each week and give that to people who don't have health insurance?

Why don't you ask how much I put toward my own healthcare? That happens to be ZERO, because in reality there is money stolen from me each week from my government to take care of others who do not work, many times they do not work because they just don't feel like it, poor things.
Meanwhile I have no healthcare. But I really do not want to be part of a healthcare system that will soon be totally run by the same entity that controls my paycheck

Then get a real job! Good lord, a whining Conservative, too damned lazy to go out and get a job with good Health Care. This old liberal has a job where my company pays over 16,000 a year for the Health Insurance for my wife and I. And I am past SS age.

We are the only industrial nation where hundreds of thousands of familys go bankrupt every year because of health care costs. We are the only industrial nation where tens of millions of citizens have as their only access to health care the hospital emergency room. And we rank in the third world in longevity, infant mortality, and the health of our seniors.

What a crock

You always neg rep people you disagree with? Plus it is none of your business why I do not have health care. Number one I take care of myself. I do not need government to tell me shit.

Give me a break you know nothing of me. You have no idea of the circumstances in my life. So you can take a flying leap and kiss my conservative ass. You freaking socialist

Well PC, clearly you've mastered Frank Luntz's right wing talking points...as polemic as it gets...a strategy to undermine and derail health care reform and works AGAINST the interests of the American people. LIES for corporate lobbyists that are spending 1.4 million dollars per DAY to protect insurance and pharma profits....only problem is...YOU don't get millions of dollars to be a mindless parrot...

So, you're just a mindless pea brain parrot...LOL

Research Firm Cited by GOP Is Owned by Health Insurer

Washington Post

The political battle over health-care reform is waged largely with numbers, and few number-crunchers have shaped the debate as much as the Lewin Group, a consulting firm whose research has been widely cited by opponents of a public insurance option.

To Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia, the House Republican whip, it is "the nonpartisan Lewin Group." To Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee, it is an "independent research firm." To Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, the second-ranking Republican on the pivotal Finance Committee, it is "well known as one of the most nonpartisan groups in the country."

Generally left unsaid amid all the citations is that the Lewin Group is wholly owned by UnitedHealth Group, one of the nation's largest insurers.

UnitedHealth 2Q Profit Doubles, Membership Declines

Wall Street Journal

UnitedHealth Group Inc.'s (UNH) second-quarter earnings more than doubled amid prior-year charges and an increase in revenue, though enrollment continued to decline as U.S. unemployment mounts and health-care reform looms.

UnitedHealth posted profit of $859 million, or 73 cents a share, up from $337 million, or 27 cents a share, a year earlier.

It just clicked.

Now I know where I've seen your prototype posts before: "The Liberal Protocols", as ratified by Saul Alinsky

You used rule #1! And there's your use of rule #3! And 4! And 5c, 7 and even 9!

What a good student you have been.

Through skillful machinations, I was able to get my hands on the ‘Liberal Playbook.’
Actually, I pointed over a libs shoulder and shouted ‘watch out’ and grabbed the book.

1. Always be the first to accuse, and make certain to accuse the opponent of exactly what you are doing.

2. Refuse to accept the statements of any opposing view, from individuals or media, unless reliably liberal.

3. Always assure the opposition that you know what is better for the proletariat, even if there are polls that claim the opposite.

4. Be sure to you carry your ‘concern’ as though it was a hypodermic needle, but one filled with poison. Furrow your brow, look vaguely sad, (think Leon Panetta) but watch for opportunities to stab, to use abusive language, using your (imagined) superiority to allow you to do violence to the reputation of those who have alternative views.

5. If you find yourself in a debating ‘box,’ where the true answer will sink a liberal talking point, either
a. Claim that the question is ‘above my pay grade.’
b. Look astounded, and claim that the questioner is a racist, sexist or homophobe.( Colleagues of Henry Louis Gates Jr., Harvard's most prominent scholar of African-American history, are accusing the police here of racism after he was arrested at his home last week by an officer investigating a report of a robbery in progress. According to the police report, Gates initially refused to show identification. Education | Was arrest of Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. an act of racism? | Seattle Times Newspaper)
c. Make up any term as opprobrium, as long as it sounds ominous.

6. Claim to misunderstand, obfuscate, and, if all else fails, allege that you misspoke.

7. Never, never criticize in any way any government or movement that is totalitarian, homicidal or anti-American.
a. Claim to idolize despots and tyrants. But always state how their people love them.
b. The corollary applies: never support traditional American values.
c. Deny atrocities by tyrants. If not possible, explain they were necessary. Finally, justify them, and, show how America was ultimately at fault.

8. Remember to spend appropriate time in front of the mirror practicing outrage, shock, and disbelief, or, and best, a sarcastic sneer.

9. Remember, as a liberal, you never have to apologize, be accurate, nor have any knowledge. No matter how many times your talking points are shown to be wrong, continue to repeat them.

10. Remember the gullible and grumbling always identify with vague terms like ‘hope’ ‘change’ ‘new’ ‘empathy’ and ‘better.’

Saul gives you an 'A+.'

The rest of the world gives you a 'D' for dolt.

I do! You do too! Tax payers are already paying. In fact, if you add up all the money we spend on things like poor people who get cancer and can't afford the treatments, we are already paying 2/3rds of what this would cost.

The rich will pick up the rest.

So, the answer is we all do.

Oh, you're asking about the money left over after I pay my taxes? I keep all that myself.

God I hope I got his question right! :eusa_pray:

Thank you booboo for explaining to everyone that you want everyone else to be FORCED to give money to the uninsured while you have the option to do it every time you get paid and choose NOT TO.. big surprise there... If you really cared that much about it why don't you give to the uninsured from your heart instead of having the government force you to do it? Care to answer that question?

I hear you... Just imagine if the government cut spending and gave us some of our own money back to pay for our own healthcare...
Bet you wish you had the $trillion that Bush/Cheney spent in Iraq.

I am for getting back all of the money that should not be spent according to the US constitution...

Can we get a recap here???? As far as I can tell only one Government Healthcare Supporter has reponded and that person said that he/she keeps all of his/her money from her check.... Anyone else?

Don't break your hand PC...LMAO!!!

Hey, I'm not rich. The rich gotta pay for the poor. You can cry for the rich but trust me, they don't give a fuck about you.

Hell, you don't even give a fuck about you, or anyone else for that matter.

Why else would you vote against your own financial interests?

I've dispensed with you, so the question arises, why are you so feverish in your attempts to tell folks not to bother reading my answers and your propaganda and claiming some imagined victory?

Your defeat mirrors the down fall of the Obama healthcare scam. It will be obvious to all.

There's that left-wingers' inferiority complex. Is it the reason for the need to get in the last word? It just screams " I'm so lonely!!!!"

Reminds me of something my old college professor used to say about folks like you, "...sticks to you like manure to a wet blanket."

I like to be helpful, so here'e some advice: if you can't find a friend, buy a dog.

Oh, and Saul called, wants you to get back to him for a refresher course.

I thought you were going to say something else when you brought up what your old college professor used to say to you.

Shut up and finish blowing me you stupid bitch.

Is that you again, Nixon?

Do I have to put you in your place each and every day?

One can always tell the pimply-faced fatties that never had any luck with the ladies. Did your mommy tell you that that's what the girls like to hear? Or is that what she liked to hear?

And, please, don’t take out your erectile dysfunction on me.

I know it's naughty of me, but I rather enjoy holding up the mirror for you to consider your boorish visage, both to tickle my funny bone, and for your embarrassment. So sad that your aren't articulate enough to be much of an opponent.

Now, back under your rock.

Well... This thread has been up for 4-5 days and we are up to 2 responses to the original question... The first by booboo says he/she keeps her/his money, and the second response comes from Old Rocks saying we all take our extra money in our check and pay for other's healthcare... Not sure what he is getting at there... Maybe that the government takes are money already and gives it to others... Anyone else, it seems there is is much support for this out there but out of the 90 or so posts only 2 responses to the question... Maybe there is not as much support for this as previously claimed by the left....big surprise there...

This lame health care bill is never going to pass. Funny thing about the bill is that the President himself doesn't even know what's in the bill. None of the members of Congress have read it either. It's a stupid, over price piece of a bill that's only intention is one of those "feel good" liberal things. More and more everyday it is even loosing support within the Democratic party. I wouldn't get so worked up over this mess. It's dying a slow but sure death. Obama talked about it for an hour on TV last night and he didn't say anything meaningful about the bill. He tap danced around every question and didn't give a decent answer to anything. He explained nothing about how the bill would work, how much it would cost people who enrolled into it, and he all but outright said medical services would be rationed. Wish they would stop talking about it and get on to the next hokey pokey bill that Obama wants the country to spend trillions on.

Which brings up an interesting question...Who writes these HUGE bills...If it takes a person 22,000 years to read it how are they writing them and how are they writing them so fast and who is doing the dictating and the research and law and all the shit that goes into one of these mammoth bills....seems a little weird to me.

Gotta say this thread, despite the rancor and occassional outbursts is one of the best threads I've read in quite some time.

Most of you are debating the issues using facts (sure you have different facts) and you're not attacking each other too badly, either.

It's been a good read, folks.

Thanks.
