    question:

    how does a candidate campaigning in a certain state help them win that state? It's not as if the audience is filled with undecideds...

    I think the theory is that it keeps the base energized.

    If people are so weak that they won't vote because the candidate doesn't come visit their state, do they really deserve the privledge of voting? :)

    Hopefully the base will get so fired up that they will have an impact on undecideds or weaker base members. From here on out they just need to suck up to lawyers and judges anyway.
