Why do we continue to punish success in this country? It starts in the public schools where the education is directed toward the average or below student. This is the main reason many nations have passed us by in many fields.

It is hard to believe that anyone would strive to be middle class. Why would anyone wish to limit themselves except perhaps someone that does not have the push or ability to deal with the stress of success? Class is self imposed in this great nation. We still have so many opportunities. The poor can become rich because of ideas, effort, and confidence and the rich can become poor because of laziness and wasteful spending.

The jealous, lazy, and of course the politicians that sees an opportunity to gain their power from the weak wish failure on those that have worked so hard to become successful. The successful in this country have their hard labor taxed at a much higher rate and many are still successful. Some are destroyed by this unfair penalty. The weak want to tax them even more.

Taxation is a fine we pay for success. The goal from the left very well could be to fine us into extinction.

Your argument has to exist in a vacuum to work. Money does not buy success. I think a challenging curriculum works better than simply government subsidizing education.

Employment these days depend a lot on education, its getting darn near impossible for a non college grad to get a high paying job. Therefor the transfer of wealth is cut off to many and quickly.

I work for NASA, im not sure of you know but Obama has introduced the private sector to the space program. A once federal work force now has the private sector helping out. Look up Space X if you like. Its not like Obama knows the score, and he is trying his best to see the private sector succeed. You don't see Elon Musk bitching about high taxes.

I hear folks like you complaining about the two wars. The current war was the Democrat Party's clean war. They own it.

However, looking at expenditures, the military doesn't eat up as much as Social Security and Unemployment. It doesn't even come close.

Oh, and I'm retired military. Just operating a peacetime military is expensive. Especially when it is as large as ours. It would be nice if we were like Canada and had the United States to do all of the heavy lifting. Everyone else in the world expects it of us. Germany in particular.

I disagree, I prefer to think keeping our own people safe and taken care of can be afforded. The Military is beyond well funded but its a scared cow for a good reason, its a huge employer. No entreprenuer I've met values money over sheer success. That's why they CONTINUE to innovate and create even after they've accumulated ample piles of cash. They DO IT because they are driven to serve others and be rewarded by the thundering applause which comes as a shower of money..

And as far as "he who shall not be Named" goes -- you're fixated on a SINGLE number and not looking at the dynamic complexity of the tax code. When money is INVESTED -- it is at a high risk.. There is no real risk to consumption or savings. And invested money creates MORE TAXES than consumption or savings. That's why there's a Cap Gains rate. It's NOT just available to the rich. In fact -- we extend INVESTMENT credit to anyone with an IRA or 401K plan via the tax breaks for Retirement accounts. Wanna count THAT massive chunk of America's investment as a Reduced tax rate? Of course you do.

Romney and Buffet ARE paying their "fair share". THey are the ones funding the GM bailout and the wars. 48% of Americans pay NOTHING towards the operation of the Fed Govt other than their own SS and Medicare.
