Recently, it is believed that the occurrence of public execution in North Korea has decreased significantly.
But has the occurrence of execution in North Korea really decrease?
Far from it! The number of public execution may have decreased, but the number of secret execution increased.
Most of the recent North Korean defectors testified that they have not witnessed public execution last year.
We believe that the background behind the decrease in the frequency is from many factors, including international denunciation, loss of social control, bribery, and North Korean people's indifference to the North Korean regime.
North Korea is merely trying to trick the international society to avoid denunciation by decreasing the frequency of public executions.
As always, at the moment, the North is probably oppress human rights, and devote their resources in idolizing Kim Jong-Un.
