Really south of the border
...as a last attempt to 'save' it. Its looking, and has for quite sometime, rather sad.

I am tempted to just chop'er down and let her start over during the current heavy rain season.

Thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

They are heavy feeders.... try a good dose of miracle grow.
They dont like being to moist... let them dry out between watering.
I would suggest a heavy pruning to get it back into the shape/size you want.

other then that :dunno:

I love that dunno gif.

Syrenn thank you. What you've done is confirm what my gut is telling me.

Bouganvillea are pretty, but those thorns are a royal bitch. Those plants are tough bastards too, they'll come back if you give 'em food and water.

They thrive on suffering and then one day they say 'feed me' - and you'd better be there ready or those thorns grow eyes.

I believe it, those thorns are big and nasty. I don't think it's possible to trim those thngs without bleeding.
