You might as well put everyones name on that list who likes their police department or fire department or military.

Who cares? This is a free country.

Who cares? These are elected officials that make our laws! I care!

and they have every right to support the American peoples police forces, teachers, schools, libraries, firemen, roads, bridges, military and so on and so on.

You can pretend this country has NO social programs but we do.

If you support these things than you are just a much a socialist as any of these people.

so then,, if they izzzzz socialists,, it would be correct to call their agendas socialist.. yay team,, and soooooo long have the ignorant lieturds on this forum denied that claim.. yay team.

We have social programs that have gone too far but the items you have pointed out are not socialistic.

Socialists believe in giving from one group to another without reaping any benefits. Police force, education, libraries, etc. do not apply. We all reap the benefits of those.

They are socialistic programs under the definition of the word.

You just buy what the republican party tells you without thought.

So...is there something illegal with this Mr. McCarthy?

so then,, if they izzzzz socialists,, it would be correct to call their agendas socialist.. yay team,, and soooooo long have the ignorant lieturds on this forum denied that claim.. yay team.

The denial comes when one of you attempts to equate "socialism" as it's known today with the USSR's brand of "Socialism/Communism." But of course that takes some homework to figure out the difference, so it surprises no one. And then there's ~~

Socialism, Republican-Style by Michael Tennant

My question is what is wrong with being a socialist? Most republicans are greedy buffoons, corporate tools, wealth worshiping fools, who give not a rats backside for the nation and its people and they get elected. So what's worse crooks or socialists? Tell us please.

"In 1929 Federal, state, and municipal governments accounted for about 8 percent of all economic activity in the United States. By the 1960s that figure was between 20 and 25 percent, far exceeding that in India, a socialist country. The National Science Foundation reckoned that federal funds were paying for 90 percent of research in aviation and space travel, 65 percent in electrical and electronic devices, 42 percent in Scientific Instruments, 31 percent in machinery, 28 percent in metal alloys, 24 percent in automobiles, and 20 percent in chemicals." William Manchester "The Glory and the Dream"

Holy shit that's stupid.

Did the OP read the link from Canada Free Press? The outfit with a high school kid from Texas as its editor a high school kid from Austin, Texas?

LOL. The wingnuts here still see socialism and capitalism as grand ideas, and not the economic tools that they are. From the results, capitalism works very well building cars and very poorly in delivering health care. And, also from results, socialism works well delivering health care, and very poorly building cars.

But those that espouse the use of only one or the other, in all venues, simply cannot and will not admit the failures of each, or the strengths of the tool that they dislike. A real disconnect with reality.

Yet modern medicine arrived because of Capitalism, not Socialism. What is the Socialist greatest contribution to medicine?

But of course. "Medicine" was first practiced effectively in the Middle East and Far East. But westerners found a way to capitalize on illness and disease. No surprises there.

Democratic Socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives.
Sounds good to me. Thank you, I too just became a socialist.

We are socialists because we reject an international economic order sustained by private profit, alienated labor, race and gender discrimination, environmental destruction, and brutality and violence in defense of the status quo.

We are socialists because we share a vision of a humane international social order based both on democratic planning and market mechanisms to achieve equitable distribution of resources, meaningful work, a healthy environment, sustainable growth, gender and racial equality, and non-oppressive relationships.
I have no objection there either. Time to allocate some funds ...

Since this site isn't allowing me to post links yet, despite the fact that I am required to because I am quoting from another site, I here report I got it from the same site posted by the original poster.
