'Mom, go upstairs. We're all liberals.'

10/24/12
By Annie Lake

Ouch. Monday night was the first time I heard my daughter apply that label to herself, and the word didn't please me. She and six friends/coworkers were about to watch the final Obama-Romney debate on the large-screen TV in our suburban basement.

These twenty-something kiddies were enjoying our hospitality because it was free. They're a company (founder, partners, contractors, trainee), part of the start-up trend whereby young persons hang out at coffee shops, staring into laptops, trying to start the next Foursquare or Fab and make a billion dollars. Until that happens, they can't afford things like airfare or hotels. So in order to attend a conference in the city near us, they had driven cross-country in a minivan and were staying at our house for four and a half days.

Up to this point, neither my husband nor I had said a word to them about politics or cultural norms in general. When they brought in large quantities of beer and liquor and stayed up late consuming it, we said nothing. We did not inquire about the marital status of the couple cohabiting in the main guest room. On Sunday, we went to church but did not try to recruit them to go with us. We were not merely nonjudgmental, but supportive, stocking up on groceries to meet their various dietary needs and keeping quiet while they occupied the kitchen, "co-working."

Tolerant I am. But being told to leave my own basement did not cut it.

Michael Moore Produces Incredibly Vile Campaign Video for MoveOn.org

By P.J. Gladnick | October 29, 2012

Michael Moore has produced a campaign video for MoveOn.org so vile that he has to be considered guilty of elderly abuse for having the senior citizens say the words that Moore & Co. wrote in the script. The video supposedly takes place at Rosebud Nursing Home and the script calls for some of the residents there to use the foulest of language to express their anger at what is described is "Republican voter suppression." What this video really represents is an incredible anger on the part of the Left and how they won't be able to accept the election result if Romney wins.

The video is below the fold but be aware that there is a very strong language warning. I will only partially spell out the words actually spoken in the video:

5 Ways Liberalism Destroys Virtue

John Hawkins
7/13/12

The more completely a person, group, or organization embraces liberalism, the less virtuous it becomes. It's almost like a mental sickness in that respect. People or groups who are lightly infected can soldier on without having it eat them alive. However, the deeper the sickness goes, the more it changes them. Eventually the liberal disease inside of people can grow so much that it warps their morals, their religious beliefs, and their way of thinking until they can no longer tell right and wrong. This destruction of virtue is a natural consequence of the fundamental beliefs that go along with liberalism.

5) "When one becomes a liberal, he or she pretends to advocate tolerance, equality and peace, but hilariously, they’re doing so for purely selfish reasons. It’s the human equivalent of a puppy dog’s face: an evolutionary tool designed to enhance survival, reproductive value and status. In short, liberalism is based on one central desire: to look cool in front of others in order to get love. Preaching tolerance makes you look cooler, than saying something like, 'please lower my taxes.’" -- Greg Gutfeld

Adolf Hitler was radically right wing, as was the entire Nazi Party.

I'm just saying.

What is "Nazi" short for?

Look, don't get into that stupid argument. Hitler was radically right wing. The Nazis were radically right wing, and they modeled their political philosophy from Mussolini's fascist movement. In Italy, the counterpart to the Nazi Party was the National Fascist Party--later known as the National Republican Party (both are now banned consitutionally by the Italians). Originally, the National Fascist Party grew in power by using their "Blackshirts" to violently attacking socialists and their institutions in the rural Po Valley thereby gaining the support of landowners.

Don't be so fucking stupid, please.

If nazi doesn't really mean socialist, then how come republican means conservative? Then you can tell us why Nazis nationalized everything, which is what socialists do, not conservatives. Don't be such an idiot. We're talking about real history here, not your political agenda.

Have you ever heard of the People's Republic of China? Is the government of China run by its people? Is it a Republic?

Jeezus, just stop it.

According to the simplest left-right axis, communism and socialism are usually regarded internationally as being on the left, opposite fascism and conservatism on the right. Liberalism can mean different things in different contexts, sometimes on the left, sometimes on the right. There is politics that rejects the conventional left-right spectrum, this is known as syncretic politics.

Nazi party was right or left wing?

...:D

From Wiki:

"The [Nazi] party was founded out of the far-right racist völkisch German nationalist movement and the violent anti-communist Freikorps paramilitary culture that fought against the uprisings of communist revolutionaries in post-World War I Germany."

also,

"In the midst of the Great Depression, the Nazi government restored economic stability and ended mass unemployment using heavy military spending and a mixed economy of free-market and central-planning practices."

Go play your word games with some naive college kid. The nazis were socialists who nationalized everything. That's what socialists do, not conservatives.

So true. Look at just what has happened so far, decency is synonymous with bigotry.

The Origins of Leftist Racial Orthodoxy

May 31, 2012 By Michael Filozof

If "diversity" is good, why do liberals congregate in lily-white enclaves like Vermont (the whitest state in the Union, according to the Census) and Marin County, California? White liberals hector others incessantly about the need for "diversity," but most have no interest in living in neighborhoods with large numbers of blacks. The ideal society in the liberal mind always seems to be a Scandinavian socialist one (which is to say that liberals strive to make the U.S. more like some of the most uniformly white nations in the world).

Interesting issue. Maine and Vermont are 96% white, NH 94% white, Iowa 92% white... According to exit polls, Romney did better among NY and California whites than among Iowa whites. Romney won by double-digit margins among white voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware and Maryland, but Obama easily carried those states.

Do liberal white voters tend to live in whiter states?

Scandinavian "socialism" requires scandinavian taxation: a 25% VAT, much higher income tax rates on the middle class, etc. It would be a hard sell.

Leftists Rally to Support Iran’s Genocidal Quest for Nukes

January 21, 2013
By Arnold Ahlert

Far-left activists Ramsey Clark and Sara Flounders, co-founders of the International Action Center (IAC), have initiated a petition entitled “Hands Off Iran,” supporting the genocidal regime’s right to maintain a nuclear program. The petition-signing event, described by the IAC as a “gala celebration for Ramsey Clark’s 85th birthday and the 20th anniversary of the International Action Center,” took place on January 13 at the Riverside Church in New York City.

...

As an attorney, Clark’s client list reads like a Who’s Who of terrorist thugs. They include PLO officials sued by the family of Leon Klinghoffer, a wheelchair-bound American Jew who was thrown overboard from the cruise ship Achille Lauro in 1986; Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, who died in prison before he would have been convicted of genocide; the terrorists who attempted to blow up the World Trade Center in 1993, including “Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel Rahman whom he still supports; four terrorists involved in the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, killing 224; and Saddam Hussein in his war-crimes trial. Staying true to form, Clark also founded Indict Bush Now in 2010 to investigate “war crimes” committed by George W. Bush and other members of his administration during the Iraq conflict.

For her part, Clark’s associate, Sara Flounders, whole-heartedly supports the terrorist group Hamas, whose animating charter explicitly calls for the destruction of Israel and the killing of world Jewry. According to the Anti-Defamation League, Flounders said at a 2009 conference, “We need to militantly support Hamas … We need to make it clear that we support the right to resist, the right to fire rockets[.]” Flounders also “saluted the resistance in Iraq in Afghanistan” responsible for killing American troops, as well as the “heroic” Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah. The fanatical leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, notoriously said in 2004, “If Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.”

...

Yesterday, after meeting with several senators from the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed the utter folly of Americans like Ramsey Clark and his fellow travelers at the IAC. ”History will not forgive those who do not stop Iran’s nuclear program,” he warned. Nor will history forgive people like Ramsey Clark, a man so blinded by hatred of his own nation and Israel he can’t begin to imagine what a useful idiot he has been for thugs and genocidal fanatics.

9 Phony Martyrs of the Left

February 18, 2013
By Larry Schweikart

Every religion has its martyrs, and so it is with the American Left. Myths have been built around myriad “wronged” radicals/communists and endless ink spilled about the injustice of their fate. Indeed, when I looked at more than 15 mainstream U.S. college history textbooks several years ago for my 48 Liberal Lies of American History, almost all of them flatly stated or strongly implied that Sacco and Vanzetti, the Rosenbergs, and Alger Hiss, among others, were prosecuted only for their ideology, not for their crimes. In fact, the leftist hall of shame is filled with culprits who were actually guilty. Below is a list of nine of the most infamous leftist criminals in modern American history and the facts surrounding their cases.

1. The Rosenbergs.

2. The McNamara Brothers.

3. Alger Hiss.

4. Sacco and Vanzetti.

5. Victims of the Red Scare.

6. The Haymarket Affair.

7. Huey Newton.

8. Joe Hill.

9. Che Guevara.

I thought it was a she, my bad...

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - It's one of the most popular political pages on Facebook. Called "Being Liberal," it's become a social media magnet for the left. And it's run out of the administrator's home and the various coffee shops he inhabits.

Until now, he's been known on Facebook as [W].

Wojtek Wacowski, who lives in Fair Haven, Conn., is coming out from behind the screen. But, he insists, "Being Liberal" is not about him.

"It doesn't matter who I am, it doesn't matter what I think. I have accidentally created a soapbox. It gives me the unique opportunity to interact with people in Tulsa, Okla., or St. Louis, Mo.," or those in Bible Belt, who feels isolated from others who see the world the way they do.
