Progressive Lawmakers Want To Make GOP 'Put Up Or Shut Up' On Bush Tax Cuts

Why is it so hard to understand that money that our government confiscates from us is not their money. Start cutting big government. Im for the people not the government.

Its not the governments money. It is all of our money. It goes to pay for programs that benefit the society as a whole. Military, schools, roads, police and fire protection.

Your taxes are what you pay for belonging to a society

I agree with you somewhat, rightwinger. Military, roads, police, fire.....no problem paying for these services. In fact, I give a lot to these guys, besides taxes, through charities and such. They do give back to the society. But, we could easily cut 20 percent out of each agency and survive just fine.....
Whatta (typically) broad-'Bagger-statement.....with no (actual) figure$, as proof.

When are you folks gonna (actually) put a little-less effort into rhetoric....and, start workin' on a few details??? :eusa_eh:

what were the tax rates on the 1%ers during our best economic times?

Why did we have such a shitty job creation under Bush if these low tax rates for the 1% are so effective?.

The facts dont jive with your caviling

Oh palease.. enough of your penis-envy. Get a clue. Better yet, get a life and a job.
In-other-words....ya' FUCKED-UP, by supporting The Idiot Son....and, this kind o' response (from you) is supposed to make you look LESS-stupid????

Truthmatters wouldn't know the truth if it landed on her and shit in her ear.

First of all, I feel very sorry for you.

Now, you do understand that agencies work within departments....I hope. It may be lost on you in between the color by numbers, coloring book, play with the fonts, responses.

Example, USGS is appropriated approx 200M a year for its budget. 20 percent is 40M. District chiefs of each state will be responsible for making the necessary cuts in each office. This means that they will have to be responsible....another tough concept for you, I know, but what must be done.

Socialists/Progressives can't "make" the Republicans do anything. They lost. They didn't get the memo i guess. The American People overwhelmingly hate Socialists/Progressives. Seriously,it's true.

This whole idea of "adding" to the deficit comes from the idea that the money already belongs to the government.

How do you add to the deficit by cutting taxes, unless you keep SPENDING like drunken sailors.

Did the idiot liberals who thought this up ever think, we could CUT spending?????????????

Nooooooooooo, never occured to them once, did it?

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Living within our means is sacrilege to the Liberal Mind.

Are you sure? How did you get in all those minds and figure that out?

Maybe "Living within our means" is the reason devastating fiscal policy (Tax cuts) needs to expire. Just like your checkbook at home. When you're coming up short, you have to either reduce the money going out, or increase the money coming in. When you can't find anything more the family can do without, you have to find a new way to generate revenue.

Of course, US Fiscal Policy is much more complex than your checkbook at home. When you cut spending, so do you weaken the economy, and now is not the time to be doing that. There's also a much bigger "Family" that needs to agree on what we want to do without, and so far the "Family" can't agree on squat.

Of course they will, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that taking more money out of the private sector will even further stifle growth and the notion that the budget deficit is because 2% of the population isn't paying enough taxes is a fool's folly.

This idiotic class warfare shit has to stop.

Of course 700 billion dollars is not fools folly, and taking it from the top 2% will stifle nothing. Outside of a bag of groceries, what do they buy? Everything they do is investments and money tied up that is out of circulation.

Nah, you are blowing gas like you ate a pot of beans. Americans are socialist from their SS retirements to their military. You are just out of touch, missed the train leaving from the station, forgot to change your knickers...........

Progressive Lawmakers Want To Make GOP 'Put Up Or Shut Up' On Bush Tax Cuts

Well rightwinger, put up or shut up, do you want to add 700 billion dollars to the deficit by extending tax cuts for the top 2% richest or don't you want to add to the deficit? Where's that fiscal responsibility? :D

Wow.

$700 billion out of almost $3,000 billion. those scum bag Republicans have a lot of nerve. Why don't those progressive lawmakers object to the $2,000,000,000,000.00 that extending the tax cuts fore everybody else will cost?

Now you don't think any lawmaker from either party is gonna pull a hari-kiri like that, do you?

But actually, I happen to agree... Do we _REALLY_ care about balancing the budget? Enough that it might actually inconvenience average people also?

Let'em all expire... But then, I ain't runnin for office.
