The Playbook is always the exact same, a Progressive leader gets power by seducing enough useful idiots with promises of Free Stuff. Once in power, they drive the rich and productive away, collapsing their economy in the process and are left with the Useful Idiots who haven't yet starved to death.

Unwilling to admit failure, they blame their scapegoat: the Jews, the Kulaks, the capitalists, the 1%. It's never their fault! Someone else frustrated their effort to bring the workers paradise to all! And, yes, even after 70 years, Progressives are still fucking stupid enough to believe it and they fall for it again, and again and again, and again and are falling for it today

China's capitalist system has not eliminated poverty in China, it has increased it.

Unfettered capitalism increases prices, poverty and unemployment.

What is required for a healthy economy is well regulated capitalism, a fair tax system, and a politically stable environment.
