Actually I am a professional and I could do it without any Adobe given the elements. You don't need to spend Adobe's ridiculous prices; all you need is sound editing software. And before that existed you could do it with tape. Any good sound editor could. And if it weren't clear I could lay noise over it and sell it.

And when it was done, no "forensics" could tell there was an edit there. When I do an edit the whole point is that the finished product goes by and even I can't tell where it is. In other words if I can hear an edit in a professional recording, and I occasionally can -- it means somebody did a poor job.

Is this really the level of slow news day it is though? Four threads on whether some 'tape' exists and whether it's genuine or not, over somebody's speech? Especially Rump, who creates way more than enough land mines of his own continuously?
