What if it did not matter what party, (or candidate) you wanted in office. What concerns you most in this election, overall?

The economy?

America's energy policies?

The war in Iraq?

Health care?

Party does not matter, this election is between a socialist that will ruin our economy and tax us to death to create even bigger social programs and a left of center so called moderate that will work to keep our economy and military intact while working to ensure our debt goes down.

My priorities are:

The Iraq /Afghanistan wars. With one son in the Army going to Iraq in Oct. and another son finishing training about the same time in the Marines more than likely headed to one or the other, that's my major concern.

After that health care. I'm no spring chicken and I've seen first hand what a major illness can do to everything a person has worked for all their life. It can all disappear in a matter of months without the proper health care coverage.

The economy is a concern but we live very conservatively so if the economy does take a downturn I think we will still get by ok because we don't have any debt to be concerned about.

My first issue is the integrity of our elections. I am not a single issue voter but when a politician runs on getting those damn machines scrutinised more heavily they have got 70% of my support. The thought that all the major decisions of the past x number of years may have been made by a person who was not even the will of the people bothers me more than most anything, because we believe we are a democracy. If that makes sense.

My second issue is the environment. Both parties seem to be getting on board on this, so I am pretty happy.

I have lots of third issues.

Well since I'm a party line voter as a rule taking that out of the equation allows me to think of what is important to me personally.

First: Health Care - my daughter is under the care of a doctor for various things pretty much all the time, if I did not have health care through my employer I don't know what I would do and I know for a fact that there are millions of Americans who are not as fortunate as I am.

Second: Iraq: getting out of Iraq if a priority for me not only so more troops can not be killed but because I don't want my daughter and her future children paying for this war long after I'm gone

Third: Economy - I understand that economies eb and flow but it seems every single time we have a Republican in office our national debt sky rockets and that should tell everyone something.

Fourth: The environment - if we don't get on board with global warming and start taking action what kind of earth are our children going to inherit?

Fifth: Renewable energy - we must get out from under the foreign countries and our oil dependence.

The economy.

Why?

Because every solution to every other problem we can identify depends on us having a healthy one.

My biggest concern in this election is corruption in our government. Until We, The People have access to our representatives without the filter of corporate money, the rest of the issues are moot, albeit valid.
