Quite telling about Obama
If he tries to run on his record, he has little.

Demonizing opposition is what you do if you have nothing.

Oh! But Wait!!!! We have the latest and best clean energy, coming up. Algae! How many billions of taxpayer's dollars will he waste trying to sell this new GREEN plan? :lmao:

If you have .44 seconds, you can find out all about it...:eusa_whistle:

Yeah I'm gonna fill my car up with algae.

That is the central question of this election isn't it? If the republican candidates are indeed a better alternative to our current president? Sorry if having to sell the clown posse or the actions of pundits forces republicans into an unaccustomed defensive posture too often but that is the way it has to be.

Actually I think the central question will be the economy, debt and war. But don't let that stop you in your attempt to make it a Jerry Springer episode.

Republicans will be made to defend their claims of being better on all these issues and so far they are failing. They allow themselves to get swept up in the rumble when some crazy person makes them look bad, just look at what people are talking about, the nutters who republicans still close ranks to protect in spite of being very bad for their image. Defending Santorum's dominionist statements or Romney's elitism or Rush's misogyny is not helping republicans at all but they are going to defend them even at the cost of their so called central message.

Point of fact? BOTH have fucked things up...but a partisan as YOU refuse to see it and remain partisan...Why both theleft AND the Republican blue-blood elitists loathe the TEA Party...:eusa_whistle:

That is what we do on this board....attack the other side

When was the last time you saw a pro-Romney thread or a pro-gingrich thread?

Paulites are the only ones who post positive threads about their man

It was just an observation of the last week or so. I'd say the average voter doesn't give a rats ass about Rush or Maher. But you guys are obsessed with the trivial. Is that an accurate reflection of Obamas supporters? Obsessing over issues no one gives a damn about?

It is still more interesting than talking about Romney or Santorum for gods sake

What is wrong with algae as a source of energy?

Makes more sense than using corn as biofuel

Corn is completely renewable. What's wrong with corn?

Corn is food, corn feeds livestock. Using corn for fuel drives up the price

Algae is renewable, grows fast and has no other use

Grow more corn. Problem solved.

Arable land is limited. Our corn crop is needed for food not fuel.

Could we not alter corn genetically so it could be grown in an indoor hydroponics situation?

Seriously? We can grow human ears on pigs and in a peatry dish for gods sake.

You wouldn't have to alter it genetically. It could be grown hydroponically without doing that. But that would be more expensive, and the increase in production would probably offset any reductions that might otherwise be gained from increased supply.

I ment to alter it genetically to make the plant much smaller but still yield the same amount of product. That way you could get a higher yield per square foot.

Just a thought anyhow.

Oh for Pete's sake. We pay farmers not to grow corn because we have too much. Give me a break. There are millions of acres that go unplanted in this country every year...........
