Ayad Allawi’s, a Shia member of Saddam Hussein’s Sunni-Christian-dominated secularist Baathist Party – Iraqiya Block , has won 91 parliam seats followed by ‘State of law Bloc’ lead by the incumbent prime minister Nouri al-Maliki, winning 89 seats in the 325-member parliament. The ‘king-maker’ would be the ‘Iraqi National Alliance’ – a coalition between two Islamic groups lead by Ammar al-Hakim and Muqtada al-Sadr – which came in the third place by capturing 70 seats. The Kurdistania Bloc came in the fourth place by securing 43 seats.

Ayad Allawi who spent many years in exile in Britain – is known for his close links with CIA, MI5 and Mossad. His Iraqi National Accord group was funded by CIA and other pro-Israel and oil-industry lobbying groups. He played a great part in fabricating many hoax-charges against Saddam Husein’s regime. After the American occupation of Iraq, Ayad Allawi was rewarded by his appointment as the first US-puppet ‘interim prime minister’ for nine-months in 2004-2005. In 2005, Ayad Allawi, was accused of personally executed six Iraqi bound resistance-fighters. In 2005, arrest warrants were issued against Ayad Allawi and his 27 former cabinet ministers in the US-installed interim government over the alleged disappearance of US$1 billion in military procurement funds.

Obama’s pro-Israel administration believe that Ayad Allawi in power would be more useful in its planned war with Islamic Iran on behalf of Israel. Professor Zoltan Grossman of the Evergreen State College, who has been researching military bases and participating in the global network against foreign bases for several years said in an interview with ‘Truthout’ observed that the US has no intention of releasing the control of its military bases in Iraq. He believes Pentagon would be hidding behind the smoke-screen of the so-called “democratically” elected civilian government under Allawi in Baghdad – as it’s doing in Afghanistan, Turkey, Philippines, etc. – allowing its Special Forces to carry-out attacks on civilian targets as we see in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia.

The Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East has called upon Ottawa to provide every possible help for the stability of the country and the withdrawal of all the foreign forces. Looking at the Harper goverment’s total submission to the US and Israel – it would be naive to expect Ottawa to come to the rescue of Iraqi people who have been victimized for Israel and oil since 1990s. Pierre Poilievre, parliamentary secretary to Canadian PM would remind everyone that Iraq is not Israel and Iraqis are not Christians either: “I stand with Israel and all democracies in effort to defeat terror and live in peace with their neighbours”.

No matter. Iraq will find its way back to Islam once the United States withdraws itself from the region.

Find its way back to the 7th century, which means repression, regression and backwardness that typifies the rest of the Islamic crapholes.
