    PRIVATE HC vs GOV’T HC

government run healthcare with all it’s faults will still run more effective and affordable and cover more people than private HC which is the right wing HC plan.
The right wingers plan will be too costly, will not cover everyone, will ration services and long waits and there will be no public option. Any other plan to choose. Private HC will become a monopoly. Private HC are no HC at all unless you are way below the poverty level and qualify for medicaid. And the not so poor will still use the emergency rooms of hospitals as their medical provider, including illegal alien. And the none at all, not so poor will continue to grow.
With government run HC , there will be options. You have a choice and keep your private HC that you are satisfied with and those who cannot afford private will have the choice of government run HC. The government run HC will not put private HC out of business. That’s right wing scare tactics as usually. It will be no different than healthcare in place today. Private and governments run. They do not compete and they do not threaten the other. Only difference will be, government will cover those not insured.
Private will still be there to cover those who like it and can afford it and government run HC will be there to cover those who cannot afford private HC and those who do not have HC.
Neither become a monopoly and neither threaten the existence of the other. Government run HC will not take over HC and they do not want to. It is cost saving for them if those who have Private HC keep it and pay for it themselves.
There is absolutely no evidence, no matter how you do the math, that those who have private HC and can afford it will pay less or more if they change to government run HC. So they keep their private HC and keep private HC system is business. Government run HC, Mediare, Medicaid, Veterans HC, SCHIP,etc, that we have in place do no threaten private HC and no reason to believe it will just because it covers the un-insured.

Private HC and government run HC, rich, middle class and the poor, will continue to do so and only difference will be that government will cover more of the un-insured that private HC cannot afford to cover and still expect to make a profit.
Right wingers cannot make private HC affordable enough for the poor and un-insured but government run can because it can operate without making a profit. A non profit organization.

“Government run HC will kill private HC, kill you granny, cost your great grand children, ration services, long waits and bankrupt the system” right wing scare tactics.
The savings will come in cutting fraud and waste that exist with private and government run HC.
With Obama care both private HC and Government run HC both will run more effective.
Obama care will not be an over night coverage for all, it will be phrased in place over a period of years and will run more efficient over time.
“There is nothing to fear but fear it self.” people fear that which they do not understand and change, but government run HC is not a change. It is not new.
If a pregnancy become life threatening to the mother, abortion then becomes a “medical procedure” and should be covered by the insurance, private or government run.
If Obamacare do not pass by the senate, there will be blood of Americans on the hands of those that opposed and I have hope they can live with it. Americans are dying because they do not have healthcare. Faster then our troops are fighting terrorism.

Bush went though a $2 trillion surplus and another $31/2 trillion and we have nothing to show for it and cannot account for it. We cannot afford not to provide affordable HC for every American no matter the cost or who will pay for it. A trillion dollars for HC is no where near $51/2 trillion.
When the senate goes to vote on this HC bill they should reflect on “what would Jesus do” They are more concerned about what this bill will cost their children in the future, when they should be concerned if there will be a future for them to worry about. Without this HC plan, they will either be sick or dead. And their blood will be on their hand and the blood of those that will die if this bill is not passes.

Are you stupid or just not paying attention?
Gov't NEVER does anything quickly or efficiently. It never has. It never will. It cannot because of the parameters set for it.
Health care is no different. Gov't healthcare is ruinously expensive. Every expansion by a state has resulted in runaway costs.

and government health care will ensure that no new technological or pharmaceutical breakthroughs happen any time soon because that would increase health care spending. it doesn't matter if thousands of lives could saved or improved.

Exactly. This, coupled with changes in patent law, will turn the pharmaceutical industry into a glorified dispensery.
