Don't harsh my zen, Jen!
Our take: he's right. No major differences between Tea Party agenda and GOP candidates' policies.

Romney Plays Down G.O.P.-Tea Party Strife - NYTimes.com

Mr. Romney’s comments came just a day after his first appearance at a Tea Party rally, where a smattering of protesters accused him of courting the party out of political expediency. Mr. Romney’s critics in the Tea Party say that his record as governor of Massachusetts – notably his passage of a universal health care law that has been likened to the federal legislation passed by President Obama – does not jibe with Tea Party principles.

Mr. Romney did not address that criticism directly on Sunday, and he was surrounded by many supporters as he came and went, all but assuring that there would be no clash with the few protesters in attendance.

Yeah, I don't know how he's going to circumvent the bolded bit.

Since you won't be voting for him, I suggest you not worry about how he 'gets around it'. It ain't your business.
