Who was the greater president, Republican Dwight David Eisenhower (1953-1961) or Democrat Harry S Truman (1945-1953)?

Both are top ten presidents. I put Ike slightly ahead. That was a good string of presidents FDR, Truman, Ike, JFK

Taxes on the wealthiest Americans was at 92% and America was enjoying of the best economic times in the nation's history. Eisenhower was the last Republican President to leave office with a balanced budget. But today's Republicans would call him a (gasp) "Socialist" ----> or worse.

Eisenhower gets points for his farewell address also. Means double given his military background.

With the worldwide destruction both got off easy economically. Easy to be the world's largest capitalist economy when destroyed Japan, France, England and Germany are your competition.
