Presidential Readiness & Sarah Palin

Dick Cheney putting the knock on Sarah Palin bowled me over:

“In an interview segment broadcast Sunday — his first since receiving a heart transplant earlier this year — Cheney told ABC‘s Jonathan Karl he does not think McCain’s decision to pick the former Alaska governor was “well handled,” largely because she would not have been ready to be president of the United States.”

After reading Judi’s McLeod’s piece my first instinct was that Dick Cheney should have vetted the organ donor. I’m not sure where Cheney got the used pump, but I suspect it formerly resided in the breast of a far-Left Democrat, or possibly a journalist. And I wouldn’t put anything past liberals —— the heart surgeon was probably in on it, too.

As far as Sarah not being ready for the presidency goes, Cheney should take a good look at the presidential line of succession and tell us how many of those bureaucrats are ready. In today’s world of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons there is every chance the top five, or more, in the line could be wiped out in a single attack. The odds of such an attack happening have increased dramatically under Hussein & Company. That would not have been the case had Sarah ascended to the throne. If anything, Sarah is a defense hawk that makes every other Republican look like sparrows.

Incidentally, since we are talking women here, Nancy Pelosi was in the line of succession when she was Speaker of the House. There is no doubt the Beltway Establishment and the media considered her ready to take over, but how many Americans wanted her?

Hillary Clinton is another woman the establishment just loves because she is a carbon copy of Hussein. Remember Hillarycare? If those two are the criterion for presidential readiness every Socialist/Communist in the country is ready for the presidency. Betraying the country to the UNIC (United Nations/International Community) is the only thing they were ready for in 2008. That remains true in 2012. So much for presidential readiness.

Dick Cheney is another Republican who fell from grace after leaving office. He refuses to admit that Hussein would have defeated McCain in a major landslide had it not been for Sarah on the ticket. Instead of praising Sarah for her efforts on behalf of conservatism:

“Palin has proven her mettle in the years since 2008. She has become one of the most prominent and vocal leaders of the tea party movement, and her campaign efforts have single-handedly influenced the outcome of countless senatorial, congressional and gubernatorial elections because the American people believe in her leadership skills and trust her judgment.

. . . waited almost four years to tell the world about Palin.

Bottom line: Mr. Cheney used Sarah so he could say Beltway insiders are the only people who should become president.

My advice to Dick Cheney: Get yourself a political philosophy transplant.

Cheney did not fall from grace; he was never there. The only thing the transplant proved is that, now at least, he actually has a heart.
That doesn't change that he is a war criminal.
His opinion of Palin is about the only thing I can imagine I could agree with him on.

To there4eyeM: Give it a rest. Cheney was one of the best VP’s ever. I objected to his comments about Sarah. His fall from grace in one instance does not diminish his superb record.

To there4eyeM: Only losers are war criminals. America won many times thanks to Dick Chaney.

To there4eyeM: There you go. Cheney has something for everyone!

Here’s Sarah defending herself:

Palin On Cheney's "Mistake" Comment: "Everybody Misfires Once In A While" | RealClearPolitics

I got a kick out of this exchange:

Greta van Susteren: I have two reflections. One, I went back and looked at the poll numbers before you were selected as the vice president, afterwards and at the time the financial cries hit and people can look on GretaWire to see the impact, or how it changed when you were named. The second thing, I might note that Vice President Cheney took a little bit of a slap at Condoleezza Rice in his book, saying she got teared up.

He has two daughters and I believe he's been a good father to them, but he's not afraid to say thing about the women but I don't know what that means. But anyway, your thoughts?

Palin: Everybody misfires once in a while.

Sarah should have responded with a chorus of:
