The same poll of "presidential historians" that found that Trump was dead-last and Willian Henry Harrison of 30-days was third from last, also found that five of said historians decided Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt or George Washington should be next on Mount Rushmore and Obama was only next tot FDR for that honor:

When asked which presidents should be the next to be placed on Mount Rushmore, five of these so-called politics experts listed Lincoln, Washington, and Theodore Roosevelt, whose visages are all already carved into Mount Rushmore.

And it's a bit early to rate trump. But if you bother to use your microscope to find the raking criteria, you'd understand why, but no one will outdo Buchanan. I really was surprised to see W climbed as he did.

I am not surprised at Ws cllimb. For all his faults, Iraq has not splintered and is one of the stablest states in the region with democratic institutions and is not a threat to its neighbors, Al Queda was destroyed as a functioning organization and Afghanistan is no longer ruled by fanatics.. The doomsday scenarios of those days never came to fruition. More importantly, another massive terrorist attack never happened on US soil despite the daily assurences that it was not a matter of if, but when.
