Put some pressure on his fellow conservatives in Congress to continuously push the topic. Plus all pundits say that he will have at least the chance to nominate two new justices to the Supreme court in the next term if not 3. That should be enough to get R vs W overturned right there.

I don't think Roe v. Wade will ever be overturned, but anything is possible.

Interestingly, I am going to see Sara Weddington speak on Tuesday. She was the winning lawyer at age 26, and perhaps the youngest person/woman to win a case before the Supreme Court. She went on to become Assistant to the President during the Carter Administration and is well-known for her advocacy of women's issues/rights over the last few decades.

Got a good question for me to ask her?

Well OCA, don't get me wrong. I don't think it's right to rely on abortion as a form of birth control. People who act irresponsibly because they figure they can just get an abortion are abusing the privilage *spelling*.

There's a huge debate about whether or not an embryo is a child or just a cluster of cells. I personally see it as a cluster of cells that has the potential of being a fetus, which in turn has the potential of being a newborn baby. There are different stages with appropriate names for a reason. I wouldn't necessarily call an embryo a baby or a child simply because it isn't one. But that is just me, I've heard the arguments before from pro-lifers and anti-abortionists, though I must say that pro-lifers tend to be nicer about things

What really sux is that this guy at least sounds like he has the right ideas. Unfortunitly for him and his party, they are relegated to the fringe. In order for him to rise from abilene tx, to whitehouse.gov, they need to start from the bottom and work it.

The US Constitution is just one more proof that God exist. The fact that so many people had a hand in it all at one time, and it got completed, is all the proof one should need of divine inspiration.

I fail to see how an embryo is "just" cells when at five weeks the embryo, the BABY's heart, no bigger than a poppyseed, HAS ALREADY BEGUN TO BEAT AND PUMP BLOOD. Halfway through the sixth week, it will make its first movements, though you'll have to wait until sometime in the second trimester before you'll be able to feel the movements. The brain has already developed in the first few weeks. How is it just a bunch of cells? Would it have been okay if someone had killed you when you were "simply a bunch of cells"? I mean, looking back, aren't you glad that your mother and father or whoever decided NOT to abort you? If you are, then why can't you realize that this "bunch of cells" will be yet another human being with thoughts and feelings, unless he or she is murdered through abortion.
