Andrew Jackson facts:

he's the only president to ever assault his own assassin.

his biggest regret was that he did not shoot calhoon and hang henry clay.

when south carolina was threatening to secede, he mused openly about arresting southern leaders and hanging them for treason.

Andrew Jackson was a horrible president. Fitting.
Trail of Crybabies

Snobs, and the class-climbing wannabes they seduce with glittery charisma, sneer at populists. We should twist every pampered snowflake's smirking lips until they bleed. At New Orleans, here's what AJ, outnumbered three to one, did to the British led by snooty aristocrats:

BRITISH DEAD: 700
AMERICAN DEAD: 7

But what else should we expect from someone who names herself after Queen Boadicea, the most pathetic losing general in history?

Pretty cool when you remember that Jackson fought in the Revolution at age 13 and was captured and "abused" (raped?) by the British. You could also remember that as a general, "Old Hickory" was responsible for kicking the British asses at the Battle of New Orleans and ended the last Brit hope to recapture the Colonies during the War of 1812. Yeah, Jackson was a bigot when it came to the Native Americans just like presidents before and after him but that's the way it was during the 19th century.

He was actually pretty humane to native Americans, considering how untrustworthy and murderous they were. Far less bigoted than native Americans are even today. I'm not fond of his petty hypocrisy re a national bank, but overall he was okay, and generally did well elsewhere.

when Jackson was a kid, as a practical joke his friends packed extra powder into a gun Jackson was about to fire, hoping the recoil would knock him down. it did. a furious Jackson rose up and howled: "By God, if any one of you laughs, I'll kill him!"

a local woman who knew Jackson heard that he became president and expressed her shock thusly:"What! Jackson up for President? Andrew Jackson? The Jackson that used to live in Salisbury? Why, when he was here, he was such a rake that my husband would not let him into our house. Well, if Andrew Jackson can be president, anybody can!"
