Well if you don’t like the current Federal immigration law, the democrats HAD the house and senate when Obama was sworn in as president, this whole immigration issue could have been dealt with then. What happened? Even President Obama himself is quoted as stating he can’t change how the Federal Government enforces immigration policy regarding illegals and DACA. Were you not aware of his direct quote?

We tried amnesty under President Reagan under the CONDITION that our border security would be tighter to prevent the need to repeat it. From what I can tell, the Democrats need to first uphold to their end of their prior agreement before we even bring up DACA. You are the party that dropped the ball and didn’t hold up to your end. When you break a law, the simple fact if your age doesn’t make it less illegal. Should we not enforce and discipline those who vandalize simply because they are too young? Progressives can’t handle people taking responsibility for their actions. If they broke ourimmigration laws, let them choose the right way like every other immigrant who wants citizenship

Here's where you are confused. You leave out two important components as to why Simpson Mazzoli didn't work. The first was that it shifted the responsibility of identifying eligibility to work to the Employers. This was pretty much letting the foxes guard the henhouse.

The second problem is you leave out how NAFTA devastated the Mexican agricultural economy, displacing millions of farm workers,and hey, look who happens to have openings for farm workers.

Well pretty simplistic view you got here. Sounds so easy as if the immigrants are waiting for those NG to pick them up.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on Friday ordering the end of a policy, known as “catch and release,” in which illegal immigrants are released from detention while awaiting a court hearing on their status.

As part of the memo, Trump asked Defense Secretary Jim Mattis to produce a list of military facilities that could be used to detain illegal immigrants.



Trump is officially the best President of my lifetime thus far.

Here's the thing, company I used to work for had "Day Laborers" who did a lot of the scrub work. Well, after I left, they got rid of the "Day Laborers" and brought in new ones they could prove were citizens...

And yup, they were scary ass white trash Junkies, and most of them quit after a week when they got paid, got high and forgot where they were supposed to be.
