If the issue is really "mental illness" and choosing medical treatments that interfere with military service,
then just Stick to that!
Treat all mental and medical conditions equally that cause disabling situations or conflicts.

Personally I do believe the military staff should have a choice.
Just like in schools or other workplaces, if certain people
have a personal or personality conflict where it makes the environment
distracting or unsafe for either party, for whatever personal reason or conflict
they might have, those two should be separated if the conflict can't be resolved.

Why not give the service troops the option of either inclusion
or separation, and not making one policy for all cases if some can be resolved without issue?

I don't know who watched the interview. Aside from mentioning that she and Trump had a sexual relationship, McDougal didn't discuss the sexual nature of her and Trump's affair. Moreover, she wasn't derogatory toward Trump. On the contrary, she described him as charming and noted that she likes him and voted for him. It wasn't a "piss on Trump" interview.

Fox, on the other hand is trying to bill the interview as soft porn, when the reality is that nothing in that interview was something that one'd blush to have one's 13-year-old and older kids hear it with one in the room. There are more lurid tabloid headlines and romance novel covers in the grocery store than there ar salacious remarks in that interview.

In light of that, I'm surprised Donald "Grab 'Em by the P*ssy" Trump has uncharacteristically demurred from answering questions re: his involvement with McDougal. Earlier in the week when Stormy Daniels was capturing headlines, i wasn't surprised by the hastened McMaster replacement which was originally expected not sooner than April.
