President Trump announced today that China is halting all their banks from dealing with North Korea

This was just announced at a lunch attended by President Donald Trump, South Korea, and Japan.

This was a stunning, totally unexpected announcement.

President Donald Trump continues to stand proud as the leader of the free world.

Trump announces new sanctions on North Korea as China cuts off banks

Now lets see if they really do it - no way to actually monitor them

Yes, this is fantastic but it is all about follow through, commitment and not "cheating". There are all kinds of games nations play when it comes to money flow and trade.

Chinese banks have received a letter from their central bank asking them not to conduct any new business with North Korean individuals or businesses, and to cut back on existing business with North Koreans.

The Chinese government supports North Korea in many ways, but this is a good/interesting development.

Now we wait and see how the DPRK responds.

nice and presidential eh?

This North Korea thing is exactly why the UN is a bunch of pussies.

If the UN was actually useful, NOKO would NEVER have gotten the bomb in the first place.

Why wasn't this done prior to 2017?

Because we've never had a US President that threatened to wipe out
No Korea. The World believes Trump will launch.

He made his comments addressing 193 Nations at the UN. The meaning
of his remarks were simple..."If y'all ain't gonna do anything, don't bitch when
we do.

It's called asserting American Force, and giving an either/or to the rest of
the world. "You don't want to see Nukes flying all over the sky, you better
put the brakes to this fucking fatass right now."

About as Presidential as you can get.

Hopefully they attack Japan with a missile and bombard Seoul with artillery giving us an excuse to obliterate them for good killing Kim Jong-un and his siblings in line to replace him. Civilian casualties will be considered collateral damage in the quest for peace and a unified Korean peninsula.

I know you don't mean that literally because it would cost millions of lives.

As you know, there is a way to monitor them unless their deals are cash.

The EO is worded that any entity doing business with Norks will be barred from doing business in US

The DPRK responds: North Korean leader responds to Trump: ‘I will surely and definitely tame the mentally deranged U.S. dotard with fire’

Dotard.

I'm stealing that.

Nothing to do with Trump, China is strictly implementing UN sanctions.

BEIJING/HONG KONG (Reuters) - China’s central bank has told banks to strictly implement United Nations sanctions against North Korea, four sources told Reuters, amid U.S. concerns that Beijing has not been tough enough over Pyongyang’s repeated nuclear tests.
