President roosevelt: "the economic bill of rights"

And what's your point? WE were talking PAST HISTORY and what should have happened and could have prevented later deaths defending Liberty from Communism.

No, WE were talking about what might have happened had we invaded Russia after meeting the Russian army in Berlin.

I'm quite certain you see no problem with losing a few million Americans to an invasion. I'd expect nothing else.

YOU remain STUPID and an apoligist

I'll let that little gem stand on it's own. Be careful about your use of the word stupid, lest you feel a need to apologize.

what the fuck do you call the bullshit you guys say? It certainly isn't rational debate. Seriously....look what you guys write. You equate debate with games of "gotcha" and slamming posters who don't believe in the Conservative viewpoint.

I came to this board to debate and share viewpoints, and what I've learned from being on here is that you guys will never change me and we will never change you until one side is Provence irrefutably wrong. I learned that insults, namecalling and painting with the broadest strokes about fellow human beings rule the day. Hey....I know I'm guilty of it....but I didn't used to be like that....I learned it here.

You see, these issues aren't black and white....I know government fucks up, I know we spend too much. But you guys refuse to admit...or apparently even SEE what private sector influence buying has done to the most powerful country in the world...Sure government shares the blame. Never denied it. But government isn't the evil that your side seems to think. Poor people aren't lazy...They work hard...very hard, and they do the kind of work that no one appreciates unless it isn't done....just because "anyone" can do it, doesn't mean it isn't worthy or deserving of decent wages.

Labor is a commodity, like anything else and as such, has a market price. Bottom line here is, just how much am I willing to pay somebody who I have to literally put pictures on the cash register so they can understand it?

Not very much... this is why petroleum engineers make a heck of a lot more than the guy working the register at McDonald's.

that's where you're wrong. Labor is not a commodity. It's people's lives and livelihoods. Just the thought that people's labor is as easily dismissed as a bushel of corn reeks of elitism. The simple truth is that not everyone can be a businessman or Professional. In fact, the vast majority of us will never be either. We work hard, raise our families the best we can and live our lives. Too many of us have been decimated by the irresponsible and selfish actions by a powerful few. There is no way that I'm saying that the wealthy and powerful have to give up being wealthy and powerful. I'm just saying that perhaps it's gone way over the edge of destructive.

Wrong. The two are not mutually exclusive.

You're a denier Karl. An apologist. Deal with it. Your revisionist crap only fools the preveyor...and that's YOU. Deal with it. :eusa_hand:

The dreams of congenital losers for that socialist utopia will never die.....................

Sure it's failed every other place when they've gotten control, but this time it'll be different! They never got to destroy an economy as large as the US before!

It'll work.

Gots-ta!

Not only are you incapable of spelling, but you wasted a sentence denying the facts by calling another individual a denier.

Nice work, Tommy! Now about those Purges: How does an invasion of the USSR circa 1946 prevent the slaughter of millions circa 1938?

And how many young Americans would you spare in order to attempt to keep going after we reached Berlin?

Took 'em 100 years to get there, and elect a known Marxist named Obama [never vetted] to tie the ribbons on it.

Can you imagine the absolute damage and devastation the 47's and 51's would have done to Soviet armor?

The only hope the USSR would have had is it we would have run out of ammo

WE were at a pinnacle and could have nailed the Commies.

Politicians saw it differently. Chose to delay the fight. It was Folly. [Same as NOT finishing off Germany in WW1...NO ONE would have never known who Hitler was].

How many millions of other people's kids were you willing to sacrifice for this wet dream?

You're as wrong as Krugman. Go back and check your math.

US Army Air Force would have left Soviet armor as a smoking pile of scrap metal. Losses in the millions?

FDR surrendered tens of million in Eastern Europe to one of history's greatest Mass murderers "Uncle Joe"

It was estimated to take a million men to get from the coast of Japan to the end of Operation Olympus - and you think we could have gotten to Moscow with multiples less?

Gotten to Moscow?

When did I saw we were going to Moscow?

All I said was that we could have inflicted a massive, crushing defeat on the USSR right in Eastern Europe with our airpower and that would have been enough to get them to withdraw back to their border and behave like normal fucking people and not the murdering thugs they turned out to be.

Moscow?

We just wanted them out of Eastern Europe

Just dreaming, with other people's lives. Why do you think some believe Bush II was better than Obama? Fantasy land is their home. (This is no great accomplishment for Obama, a goldfish would have been better than Bush II.)

To Spite what the Marxist FDR promised Uncle Joey.

Too bad we didn't listen to either Patton or MacArthur when they wanted to nail the Commies as we had the chance to.
"Estimates for the total casualties of the war vary, because many deaths went unrecorded. Most suggest that some 60 million people died in the war, including about 20 million soldiers and 40 million civilians."

How many additional deaths would "nailing the commies" have required?
Why are con$ always ready to $hed other people'$ blood?

Not many.

After the US P-51's destroyed the entire Soviet Third Shock Army in under 20 minutes the USSR would have to rethink that whole "Dominate Eastern Europe through armor" strategy
Are you talking about these P-51s?

"... and on 21 May, targets were expanded to include railways, locomotives and rolling stock used by the Germans to transport materiel and troops, in missions dubbed 'Chattanooga'.[24]

"The P-51 excelled at this mission, although losses were much higher on strafing missions than in air-to-air combat, partially because like other fighters using liquid-cooled engines, the Mustang's coolant system could be punctured by small arms.

The USSR strategy of dominating Eastern Europe stems from the number of times Russia had been invaded by European armies; the last thing Stalin needed in 1945 was an arms race with a continental superpower whose homeland's infrastructure was untouched by WWII.

It wa$ Truman who in$tigated the cold war in Europe and in Korea.
