It's become clear that Sandy is turning out to be a major problem for Obama and now he's choosing to ignore it.

He has plenty of help from his friends in the media. They're focusing on his photo-op session with New Jersey gov. Chris Christie and ignoring the utter chaos that is going on in New York.

Last week, Obama asserted a kind of ownership of the storm by touring New Jersey in the now infamous embrace of Republican stalwart Governor Chris Christie. Now that we are all appalled by the lack of food, gas, water, heat, and the basic essentials of life throughout the storm zone, Obama’s government doesn’t look so good anymore.

Why didn’t FEMA stockpile food, water, and gasoline? We had a week’s notice to prepare for Sandy. There was no shortage of time. Did the government not realize that people needed to eat, drink, and drive?

All throughout America, we are asking these questions of our television sets as we watch the evolving story of human misery.

Meanwhile, Obama has resumed the campaign trail, pounding the opposition in the same relentless and partisan style which he used before the storm. When Obama said that voting was “the best revenge,” he threw away whatever presidentiality he displayed in touring storm damage earlier in the week. Dickmorris.com

"In times of crisis, "we pull together, we leave nobody behind, we make sure we respond as a nation," Obama said, reprising one of his 2012 campaign themes.

"Whenever an American is in need, all of us stand together in providing the help that is necessary," he added."

Not only "leave nobody behind", but "providing the help that is necessary."

As with the attack in Bengahzi Obama is trying to limp across the finish-line and he wants us to totally ignore his glaring deficiencies. This president cannot be counted on in a crisis....any crisis. His primary concern isn't Americans but one American......himself.

I have a friend who lives on Long Island. I can't get through to him because the destruction that hurricane Sandy wrought on NYC. I'm worried about his welfare but it is very clear Obama isn't. Personally I think this will cause Obama to lose New York state in the election. Maybe our long Obama nightmare is almost over.

Mitt Romney’s election campaign insults voters - The Washington Post

"Through all the flip-flops, there has been one consistency in the campaign of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney: a contempt for the electorate.

How else to explain his refusal to disclose essential information? Defying recent bipartisan tradition, he failed to release the names of his bundlers — the high rollers who collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations. He never provided sufficient tax returns to show voters how he became rich.

How, other than an assumption that voters are too dim to remember what Mr. Romney has said across the years and months, to account for his breathtaking ideological shifts? He was a friend of immigrants, then a scourge of immigrants, then again a friend. He was a Kissingerian foreign policy realist, then a McCain-like hawk, then a purveyor of peace. He pioneered Obamacare, he detested Obamacare, then he found elements in it to cherish. Assault weapons were bad, then good. Abortion was okay, then bad. Climate change was an urgent problem; then, not so much. Hurricane cleanup was a job for the states, until it was once again a job for the feds."
