President Obama wins big on renewable energy.

The President bet big on the renewables and that bet has paid off handsomely. Before he is out of office, we will be seeing grid scale batteries installed in wind farms, making those installations 24-7 sources of power. Same for solar.

and what type of materials are the batteries made of? What land do we have to scour to excavate the materials to create them?

The something from nothing crowd keeps forgetting about this stuff.

When it comes to renewable energy lobbying, the bullshit gets deeper than late-August slush on 500,000 square miles of new Arctic ice...that isn't supposed to be there. Have you noticed that warmie hysteria in media is now concentrating exclusively on the Antarctic? As to ledger sheets pertaining to renewables (which don't really exist at present), the Academy Awards should have a new category for special effects in accounting.

The warmies may be right however: I just checked my new Davis weather station. It's 4 degrees Fahrenheit. It was 44 degrees Fahrenheit at noon today. That's some pretty radical "climate change" don't you agree? What should I do? Call my local socialist? Yes, that's exactly what I should do. I'll call my local federal socialist office at 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning when at least half of them have stumbled into work.

And where do you put them when they are done with their usefulness...they never talk about filling up land fills with their batteries....

LOL. Boys, this is Texas and Oklahoma. Not exactly known for liberal policies. They are installing the solar and wind because it makes good economical sense. And it looks like that utility is going to be installing the batteries very soon.

While Obama annoys me on a lot of levels, he does do a lot of good stuff. His commitment to renewable energy is one of his most commendable. This country should make renewable energy it's top priority. It would get us out of the middle east and help repair the economy. I'd like to see a Space Race like effort to improve renewable energy but unfortunately America just doesn't have the infrastructure for that anymore.

We already lead the world in oil production with many untapped areas. We lead also in natural gas due to fracking. Our coal production could be way higher but this president is intentionally stopping that.

Something caught my eye that the speaker and new senate majority leader said was on their to do list and a center piece of the gop Platform was the need for a huge energy bill due to the many jobs it creates and what it gets us. That includes coal and nuclear energy. Every resource.

I'm of the firm belief that the mega energy bill to come will be from the gop and be a huge part of the 2016 election. Jobs.
