President Obama just wished everyone a Merry Christmas

Freaking hypocrites. They have a Christmas tree on public property, they have working chaplains of different denominations who say a prayer in the workplace and the king of the hypocrites says Merry Christmas while others of his liberal persuasion are outlawing the phrase, the tree and religious expression.

The Christmas tree is not christian at all, a pagan symbol adopted for the season.

All about the Christmas tree: Pagan origins, Christian adaptation and secular status

In Europe, Pagans in the past did not cut down evergreen trees, bring them into their homes and decorate them. That would have been far too destructive of nature. But during the Roman celebration of the feast of Saturnalia, Pagans did decorate their houses with clippings of evergreen shrubs. They also decorated living trees with bits of metal and replicas of their God, Bacchus.

Tertullian (circa 160 - 230), an early Christian leader and a prolific writer, complained that too many fellow-Christians had copied the Pagan practice of adorning their houses with lamps and with wreathes of laurel at Christmas time. 8,9,10,11

The English Puritans condemned a number of customs associated with Christmas, such as the use of the Yule log, holly, mistletoe, etc. Oliver Cromwell preached against "the heathen traditions" of Christmas carols, decorated trees and any joyful expression that desecrated "that sacred event."

Yeah we all know about good king Wensaslaus and Tanenbaum and Santa and the Puritans disregard for the trappings of what we know as Christmas. Why not just accept it and enjoy it or ignore it? My point is that the hypocrites in Washington celebrate a gigantic Christmas tree while the ACLU is busy hunting down communities who dare to erect a Christmas tree on public property and threaten to sue them into the poor house. The ACLU sues any school district that dares to authorize even an agnostic "moment of silence" but the hypocrites in Washington have salaried Chaplains on call and they say a prayer before congressional sessions. Something ain't right.

Why do rw's hate the US Constitution so much that they are against an organization whose only function is to protect it?

Oh yeah, and you were going to prove you aren't lying in the post above. Right? (LOL)

Where is saying "Merry Chrismas" against the law?
