Hi everyone,

As a huge fan of Carlos Santana that was on tour in Israel last week, I wanted to share his point of view with everyone else.

Surprisingly every artist announcing a tour in Israel, also have to deal with intense 'BDS' pressure, and so happened even on international festivals and shows.

Here's Carlos reaction to the BDS call:

That's been my view as well, putting aside the BDS personal which puts back any Palestinian progress, there are the Palestinians that needs to learn the value of working constructively for their own sake.

A little more.

Why is Carlos Santana refusing to honor Israel boycott call?

Cant be as it would have some reference to islam in its title

What is BDS?
The Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement works to end international support for Israel's oppression of Palestinians and pressure Israel to comply with international law.

Now being banned in most civilised nations as a racist anti semitic group. It is even banned in palestine becai=use of the da,age it has done to the economy and cost 10's of 1000's of arab muslims their only income. Non palestinian muslims dont care about the plight of the palestinians they just want a means to attack the Jews and spread their filthy lies.

ALL LOSERS SO FAR AS THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF ISRAEL HAVING BREACHED ANY INTERNATIONAL LAWS THAT HAVE STUCK.

Here's an interesting article by a writer who badmouthed Santana and then found out that he had been wrong about Carlos and he wrote this apology.

BDS Was Wrong Again: I Owe Carlos Santana an Apology
For many years, Santana was falsely depicted as refusing to perform in Israel

Before a crowd of nearly 50,000 fans at HaYarkon Park in Tel-Aviv Saturday night, legendary rock star Carlos Santana took his message of love and peace to Israel, offering up a performance worthy of a Hall of Fame guitar virtuoso. As Santana and his multi-talented band were jamming with the Jews, I was chowing down on crow, knowing that I owed Mr. Santana an apology.

I should have known better. Having investigated and written about anti-Israel propaganda and the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement for nearly a decade, I know that facts and truth have no part in their narrative. For many years, the BDS movement lied about a legitimate scheduling conflict to falsely depict Santana as an example of music stars endorsing the BDS movement and refusing to perform in Israel. Begun after the Latin musician cancelled a 2010 show in Israel, the BDS propagandists spun the truth so effectively that their lie became a commonly accepted fact.

And I fell for it.

In a May, 2014 editorial for The New York Post, “Rocking out in Israel despite the hate,” I took Santana to task for being one of the “big nay-sayers” supporting boycotts against the Jewish state. The article focused on BDS poster child Roger Waters, formerly of Pink Floyd fame. The has-been rocker’s “anti-Semitic rhetoric is full-bore, as he claims Israel is a ‘racist apartheid regime’ that practices ‘ethnic cleansing’ and compares Jews to Nazi collaborators.”

BDS Was Wrong Again: I Owe Carlos Santana an Apology

Santana is the contraction of Santa Ana, Saint Anne, Jesus' grandmother.

If Chuck took the time to study the history of his own country of birth he would find out another equally famous Sant(a)ana who fought the american invasion of his homeland exactly the same way palestinians fought and still fight the zionist invasion of their homeland.

It is very telling that those who support this BDS movement have never said anything about what is happening in Tibet with the Chinese taking over there. The Chinese aren't Jews so there is no big movement against them, and all those BDSers think nothing of buying good from China.
BYW, José, Lopéz happens to be a Sephardic Jewish name. Could it be that his ancestors escaped the Inquisition and ran to Mexico. A smart guy like you probably knows about those in the American Southwest who are sending in their DNA and finding out they have Jewish roots.

Unfortunately, the tibetan people pays the price of their own buddhist pacifism...

It's a forgotten cause just like the palestinian cause in the 50's and 60's.

As you probably remember most people didn't even know at the time that hundreds of thousands of arabs had been displaced by the creation of the state of Israel.

Not even the guerrilla struggle against Israel was able to make their cause widely known.

Right or wrong it was only spectacular actions like the hijacking of planes and ships that brought international attention to their cause.

Yep.... it's hard to believe nowadays but there was a time when there were more Jews in Spain and Portugal than saguaros in Arizona.

Anyway the US and Mexico have a lesson for Israel and Palestine:

The moment the mexican people lost the will to fight the US annexation of their northern provinces was the moment the land became a legitimate american territory... not a second earlier.

Thanks to the grudging acceptance on the part of the mexican society of american sovereignty over California, Texas, etc... the US is now free to fill dozens upon dozens of buses crammed with illegal mexicans EVERY SINGLE DAY without being accused of racism, ethnic supremacism, etc...

The message to Israel is clear:

If someday you manage to break the will of the palestinian people just like America did in Mexico the land is yours, you'll get the same treatment America gets from the rest of the world... no anti-semitism involved.

In your long post, you have conveniently forgotten to mention that it was Spain that colonized Mexico. How come there was no uproar about Spain not giving the land back to the indigenous people?

Yes, the Mexicans have a poor lot in life. Could it be that there is so much corruption in Mexico which makes the Mexicans want to come live and work in the U.S. Why couldn't Mexico have developed along the lines of the U.S. so that the Mexican people would be satisfied staying in their own country? Why don't you get together with Carlos Slim and try to work out some plan where there are enough jobs in Mexico so that the people are happy to stay there. Since he had the smarts to become one of the world's richest men, he could pass some of his knowledge on to you so that you could help your people.

As I said before every single day America expels Mexicans by the thousands.

You feel sorry for America, a fully sovereign country that's not under mexican military occupation, that's totally free to expell all illegals if it so chooses and not for the palestinian people who could not control jewish immigration with their necks under the boot of the british empire.

It's not Mexico's fault that those thousands of illegals expelled every day are not enough to prevent the demographic change in America.

It's not Mexico's fault that America took the sovereign decision to expel thousands of Mexicans a day but allow millions to stay.

It's not Mexico's fault that after WWII an alliance between the jewish american community and the liberal sectors of the US society decided to change the demographic makeup of the nation through mass non-white legal immigration and unofficial tolerance of illegal immigration.

Frankly I don't really know how to react here, I like to believe that you are just severely challenged to accept Carlos Santana's contribution to the world by doing something that is - positively constructive other than your suggested counterpart Santa Anna.

Apparently you too didn't took the time to study that even he was just a passing by invader for the Aztecs.

But hey, if war suits you so go get your own.

You're both absolutely right... no contest here.

Spain/Mexico did to its native people exactly what America did to Mexico: a shameless, blatant landgrab.

You're still missing the point, I'm not talking about land and who owns it.

What zionist invasion of which islamonazi country was that then. Or are you another NAZI that does not think international law that works for the Jews should ever exist. The land was Ottoman until 1917, then it became LoN who granted 78% of palestine to the arabs and called it trans Jordan. The remaining 22% was granted to the Jews and became known as the Jewish National Home. So the arab muslims should be over the other side of the river, and not in Israel.

And yet the history books show that they left willingly because they expected to win the war and walk straight into Jewish homes. The Jews begged them to live in peace and prosperity and the arab muslims ignored it. And are paying the price of their invasion and terrorism to this day

José, how come you didn't tell the readers about this?

Mexico Is Now Detaining More Central Americans Than The U.S.

Regardless of Mexico's habit of sending back these Central Americans, many do manage to escape the notice of the Mexican authorities and make it to the U.S.A.
