I got to thinking about politics of the DEM's and REP's last week pretty heavy. We had a bunch of boxes on the trailer we had missed getting tied properly. A couple of them went sliding off the side oof the trailer around the corner. The box that the lid came off of scattered most of the breakables in it. I had these two old collectors whiskey bottles that my grandfather had collected. Two of them were political. One is the donkey and the other is the elephant. As I kneeled down picking up shattered pieces i came to those two bottles. The only two things in that box to survive without a chip or a break. Two old political whiskey bottles representing each party empty. I wondered as I looked at the ceramic elephant and the ceramic donkey, does this mean the party is over and it is time to sober up?

Powell was lied to and misled just like we all were. Bush wanted him to go to the UN because he has credibility. What did Powell do when he found he had been used? He resigned. He is still trying to seperate himself from this administration of total incompetence.

He was and still is a man of character and credibility. If you want to beat someone up to avenge the fiasco called the Iraq war, start with Bush and Cheney. The war was derived long before W was elected, primarily to fatten the wallets of Haliburton and friends of this administration.
