I talk with Chris about how life is changing for the "common man" on the street facing a dismal economic environment. Chris is maintaining the best he can in the face of high unemployment and an increasing uneasiness among the population at the ineffectiveness of job growth programs. It's becoming more of a dog eat dog world as middle class Americans begin to sell everything they own to pay for basic utilities and expenditures.

Living as I do in the "antiques" (read flea markets) capital of Maine, I am more than used to seeing people in deperate straits selling off the family jewels to keep roof over head.

This may be new for some of us, but here in Maine its a way of life.
