i wouldnt go THAT far

Yeah they said the same thing when Bush was elected.
Now it is Bush who?

Bush got elected twice the maximum times he could be elected and the second time should have been a democrat but you retards ran Kerry against him. Poor choices and stupid decisions haunt your party.

I have given out too much rep. I am a generous girl!! But, that is a point rarely made.... The reason for Bush's second term was not overwhelming support but a seriously stupid choice by the Democrats.

I've often wondered what if they had nominated Gephardt instead.

John Kerry represented the most liberal 60-70's era of the Democrat Party.

A terrible choice by a party that simply refuses to understand America remains a slightly right-of-center country.

They mistook the Obama election as a sign liberalism was all of a sudden in vogue.

Nope - it was a vote against Bush - not for liberalism.

Obama, being the the self-involved tool he is, simply does not understand that.

He is like Elvis surrounded by the Memphis Mafia, telling the King how great he is while all the while saying nothing of his losing battle with reality.

Obama is surrounded by political enablers.

What he needs is a wake up call - and Scott Brown just delivered it.

Let's now see if Obama has the intellect to grasp what is going on all about him...

Compare me to Kerry one more time and you'll get a neg-rep.

Clear thinking and sensible!

It can be argued that he won both times because the Democrats picked the only two guys who couldn't beat Bush, even when they tried to cheat!

I see a lot of posts here from conservatives noting that the Republicans win based largely on Democrats making STUPID decisions. Between being SPINELESS, STUPID, and INCOMPETENT the Democrats CONSISTANTLY snatch DEFEAT from the jaws of VICTORY. Now I know there are a LOT of other Conservatives that will say this is an anti-Obama vote or anti-Democrat vote but since SO MANY of you have spent PAGES on this and the other thread pointing out how POORLY Coakley ran her campaign I don't see how you can turn around and make that claim now. Now I am sure a lot of you will claim I am a Democrat which is ENTIRELY untrue I am a Left leaning MODERATE more than anything else, how else could you explain my conservative views on guns, illegal aliens, boarder control, and "Free Trade".

No this wasn't an anti-obama vote at all. If it was anti-anything it would be a vote against the current version of health care reform in the congress. Scott Brown does support health care reform and has stated he will work for it...and like me he thinks this current bill is nothing but bogus backroom deals, bribes, and kickbacks.

The INDEPENDANT voter in MA voted him into office, not the republicans. Yes 22% of MA dems voted for him and nearly all the repubs voted for him but the independants make up over 50% of my states registered voters and we voted 65% for scott brown.

I REALLY hope that we get REAL HC reform. I am dealing with my health ins co right now with HIGH deductables, HIGH co-pays, and EVER RISING premiums. I have to cover my deductable before I can get ANY help with my medical conditions and I can't afford to go to my doctor until my ins kicks in. Kind of a catch 22.

While the provision of health care in the United States is imperfect, it is not really the disaster that the proponents of the Obama/Pelousy/Reid health care efforts portray it as being.

Yes, there is certainly room for some improvement. But the assinine re-tooling of our nation's health care in the blunderbuss intrusive and manipulative fashion proposed by the Obama/Pelousy/Reid crowd is not an improvement.

As for the "catch 22," you mentioned: that's usually avoidable. Work out an agreement with your doctror, for example, to pay your doctor over time. Eventually, you can reach the level where the deductible is met, and the Doctor can get the majority of the balance due from the Insurance company at that point. Some doctors will even waive any part of the bill that isn't "covered" after the insurance company pays and you've met your co-pay obligations.

Doctors tend not to be total idiots. They often got into the field to help people, but they are also businessmen and businesswomen and they will "work with you" in many cases. It's in their business interests, too, to do so.

Me too. Something needs to be dont to lower cost, make getting coverage easier, and make denying claims almost impossible for the ins companies.

I am lucky enough to live in MA and pay 40 bucks a week for full health insurance. For a $25 deductible I can go see my doctor, get tests like x-rays/MRI done, see a specialist, and not be denied for my pre-existing heart valve condition.

I'm lucky to have the ability to pay for the priveledge of good insurance coverage.
