I don't know if John Ashkroft program to abolish porn has failed although there are many activists and religious personalities who work in the same way!

despite it looks like secular business, porn has some religious angle: in 2004 Al Goldstein stated in an interview that : " The only reason that Jews are in pornography is that we think that Christ sucks. Catholicism sucks. We don't believe in authoritarianism."

Christians and people in other reliogions are not perfect. They still live in their bodies,,and in this world They ar still tempted, and in a battle with the flesh, just like everyone else.

God does help us when we are willing to accept that help. We still sin, and nothing in the Bible or anywhere else says we don't or can possibly be perfect.

What we have to do as Christians is to resist, and be willing to take on the battle with the will and determination to win. In the middle of that we must hold tight to God's promise that with every temptation there is a way out. Then we must take that way out. "The Spirit is willing (To do right) but the flesh is weak."

Of course, the resto of the population has issues as well, but they love to point fingers.

The real question is why is it that even though multinational corporations will pay billions of dollars for 30 seconds of advertising because they know it will make you more likely to purchase their products, you seem to think you watch/view hours upon hours of pornographic material without it affecting you at all? Does that make sense to anyone?

Porn is not evil and like any other business is used to make money.. Is it addicting?? For some maybe.. But not as addicting as say drugs or politics.. Does it give you a warped sense of reality? Hmmm?? If you were to watch Star Wars would you expext to find your X-Wing fighter parked outside?? Maybe it gives you a warped sense of reality, but not everyone else..

The only people that have vilified the porn industry are the religious.. I don't condone child porn or anything like that.. But anything between consenting adults should be ok..

This issue is about sex, and their desire to control how OTHERS have sex.. You don't like porn then don't buy and don't watch it.. But don't cloud the issue here.. The issue is sex..

This is the same as the gay marriage issue.. The religious don't like it so it must be banned.. Another example of how a group of people are trying to control the sexuality of someone else..

There is nothing wrong with porn, there is nothing wrong with homosexuality.. Unless you are religious.. But even then you don't have the right to pass judgement on someone else..
